I’v just read through this entire thread and various other threads about fuse blocks and such but I’m still kinda confused on what I need for my set up. I’m a total wiring noob and it look like this set up might be kinda over kill for my needs. I plan on adding raptors lights, demon eyes, halos, and bed light all to switches. Do they need the relay or can I just get away with a blue sea fuse block and breaker? I really don’t think I’ll add light bars or ditch lights cause I don’t off road. So my question to you guys is whice fuse block route should I go with for my needs?

 

Relays are generally used on accessories that draw 10a or more as a general rule of thumb. I like using relays on smaller amp draw accessories too because it makes the wiring a bit easier, not as much back and forth. The Bussmann box can be cleaner/smaller footprint because the wires come out the underneath rather than the sides.

Since everyone wants a different setup and has different mounting positions I have opted to just use short unterminated leads and let each person set them up how they like when they recieve them.

 

Everything is currently a mess with us trying to move. I have all the boxes and everyones names on them, I need to get a hold of some packing materials and a few mins to take them to the post office. Also have one box leftover from the 2 people that have shown interest but have not responded to PMs.

 

That makes a list of 2....

 

I would be interested in a parts kit, no wire needed

 

Sorry for the continued delay.. This move is kicking my butt, we just got like 6 TW trucks together and got my big stuff moved. I brought the boxes to the new house put some air pack in them and tomorrow I need to go back to the old house and get my printer to print shipping labels.

 

Excited for shipment! I have a light bar waiting to be wired that I've been holding out on for the bussman. Just don't want to wire more than once haha

 

That's how my truck went, one thing here, one thing there... I really want to pull it all out and do it all at once so all the wires follow the same path.

 

I've got a tray, 2 sets of lights, and an amp (just mounting the breaker on the tray), all waiting for something pretty to wire them up to. I'd rather wait and not have to do it again.
