Hows the ride with 888 coil? Thinking of going that route.

Initially I had the bilstein preloaded with stock coils but ride was too stiff. With the 888 coils, ride is a lot smoother, still firmer than stock but less nose diving and body roll. Can't really comment on the offroad end, trucks only been on gravel road and to the beach.

If I get the 888 with an add-a-leaf, will the truck sit leveled? I’m afraid of the add-a-leaf being lower and giving me a “bro-lean” I want the rear to sit higher or At LEAST even with the front.

Get dakars leaf pack if you're worried about that. Eventually the AAL will sag anyway.

I guess im looking for a quick and cheap lift. Im currently gathering parts for a 63 swap but had some unexpected things to pay so it’s somewhat on hold for a bit. Figured $700ish wouldn’t be too bad for the time being.

I'm using SPC UCAs. You'll definely need new UCAs for these.

I've been on this setup now for a while-- if you want my .02, bite the bullet and go for a performance coilover. My setup rides fine, but I'd like to upgrade and I'm wishing I had gone with something better the first time-- certainly do not want to re-spend on the same
    Why did you sell?

What’s a good performance coil over compatible with the bilsteins that will provide approx 3 inches?

Coilovers would be in place of the bilstein struts/OME 888 springs-- most coilovers will give you the same range of lift. They're an all-in-one adjustable coil-over-shock combination. King, Icon, Fox, and OME make good coilovers for tacomas. The threads on each of these are all over tacomaworld ad nauseam. I don't recommend trying to sift through all of these threads-- they're full of opinions, will leave you having wasted of time and still unsure of what to buy.

I would recommend watching the following videos (long, but VERY worth it) on suspension upgrades and then use a trustworthy vendor to help you pick a suspension system based on your needs (you can speak to a few). Once you watch the videos, the guy at Filthy Motor Sports (also in the videos below) is amazingly helpful to speak with in more detail about your truck.

The following link will give you an idea of different packages and price ranges for systems with performance coilovers:
