    You missed a spot.

If you come to Missouri, I'll show you exactly where.

Well it’s not too terribly difficult - takes some work, and you do need a lot of patience in order to do it. The hardest part was getting all the plastic clips to disengage on the actuator when splitting it in half. I didn’t completely split it, and ended up using a piece of metal to hold it open. I didn’t replace the dc motor, I just opened the motor and cleaned the brushes, works like a charm but if you have the motor, I would just replace it. Probably easier!

Painted my chrome grill surround black and gave it a test drive through some mud. Scratched the still curing paint and decided that was fortuitous as it wasn’t the look I was going for anyway. Black grill surrounds look good on a lot of trucks, just not my magnetic gray, IMHO. I sanded it back to chrome.

I was thinking Mount St. Helens in the bottom pic. The barren trees remind me of the surrounding areas.

So I made a template today to make my own cross bar for these @ARCHIVE hammer hangers. Cut out some 1/4” steel templates took some measurements on the truck. Changed my mind on the tubing and decided to use some 2” dom square tubing. A little heavier than the pipe, but it’ll be a beast of a cross support. Finish it tomorrow at work, stay tuned!! thanks for the inspiration @EatSleepTacos 21416C4F-9C68-4124-8037-C07E238BB392.jpg C76688D8-CF88-4BF1-A3F1-FB8B1A9E28D7.jpg BA62A19D-55F7-4055-A8A2-2CD2DF0A0709.jpg
