I’m actually looking in to their smaller model right now. I’m heavily leaning towards getting that

The Davy Crockett? Standard with WiFi...I sprung for the WiFi on my Daniel Boone and couldn’t be happier being able to set the grill from inside. Also creating profiles for a cook where the grill follows a program from startup to shutdown is awesome.

I’ve seen some really nice tool chests made as stands for the Davy Crockett too.

The Davy Crockett? Make sure look at one in person first. Pretty small, 1 rack of ribs will fill it up and not much headroom. A friend had one, he nos has a Daniel Boone.

Yup. No WiFi though. Too expensive for me.
Ya that’s the one. It’s the same size as the shit Traeger I got. I don’t have the room for anything bigger unfortunately. I’m usually just cooking for me and the girlfriend anyways.

Agree with everyone else. I run dry but ran with water at first. You will have to relearn control settings when you run dry vs. running with water if you switch down the road however. But that would be a good time to go with an ATC

I'd head to Hardware Hank, ACE or Home Depot and pick up a bag of apple or cherry wood chunks. You can save those chips for smoking on your grill they will not go to waste.

The 3 ribs I did Sunday used Memphis Dust on 2 and Pitfaced on one, first time using it on ribs. And the Pitfaced one was orders of magnitude better then my go to Memphis rub. Kicking myself for not using Pitfaced on all 3 you'd think I would have learned by now :pout:

This has been posted before... the Daniel Boone standard model has wifi already built into the controller. You just need to add an antenna.
