In my truck, I looked at upper #2 pulleys and they had caps in the front and the back, except for #1 pulley which was weird. I am going to install pulley #1 (the one above) this weekend but I didn't know if it was missing. thanks for the advice.

I took pulley #1 off to see if I needed to replace it, and I do but I didn't see any caps on it. I am going to install the new one this weekend but I didn't know whether or not to put some on. I will go buy some this weekend.

The OEM #1 pulley has pressed-in thin metal washers. I believe they are there to provide the rubber side covers some debris protection; the rubber side covers themselves provide dust and water protection. The washers can’t be re-used as they bend easy when removing. Your new bearing shows them pressed in, so you are good to go. Btw, I suspect that is a knock-off Koyo bearing as their catalog does not list a 42mm OD size bearing with a 10mm ID. I even emailed them once to confirm. Also, when I shopped for them, no online bearing retailer carried the bearing; you only found them on eBay or third party vendors on Amazon. Is that where the bearing/pulley came from?

Chuy, thank you for the information, I won’t put an extra washer/cap on pulley idler pulley #1. I bought the set of 3 on ebay, I will post a picture. I bought an extra idler pulley #1, on ebay and it says it’s a toyota brand, what do you think? Should I use the toyota one instead?

You can almost never go wrong with OEM, since you already have it. You can use the other one as backup. That being said I replaced the bearings in the OEM pulleys with SKF and Nachi bearings. Check your tensioner pulley; even though Toyota does not sell the pulley, the bearing can be replaced. The bearing size is 17X40X17.5 (ID X OD X Width) , a relatively common size.
