Prepare for that loan to be never ending if you wanna go private. Renting planes isnt cheap. My dad was a private pilot before he started a family.

How long did gas engines take to progress to where it is today? You think that didn't come at a cost to our earth?
How do we dispose of vehicles now? Can't be any worse for electric.
EV technology is "new" and therefore it is progress. I'm not saying electric cars are the end all and is going to dominate the future but if you don't think they will migrate to almost fully electronic then you're fooling yourself. Some say it will be hydrogen powered electronic while some aren't sure but almost all automakers see it heading that way. You can bury your head in the sand if you want.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

Gas engines didn't rely on Government subsidies to make them affordable, or get where they are today.
Gas engines have been/are a more efficient mechanism to propel a vehicle... And will be for the foreseeable future.
Oil extraction is a MUCH better alternative to Lithium extraction.
Battery powered automobile production has a larger carbon footprint than fuel powered car production.
Most EV cars in the US are charged using fossil fuels anyway.

And fossil fuel vehicles REGULARLY see use for 30, 40, 50 years. You think these EV batteries are going to last that long?

I'm not burying my head in the sand. I'm just not buying the bullshit lines about EVs.

Gentlemen, let's talk rear leaf springs. I'm in the market. Don't need much lift, have a topper and load it for camping. Let's keep it budget.

I like my alcans, they’ll make em for whatever weight you want.

But they’re kinda at the top market in price I believe.

Middle leaf from a parts 5 lug Tacoma.

That's as budget as it gets brotha. And works great!

I did mine that way with a Wheelers 1.5 AAL and here's how my truck sits fully loaded with rack, boxes, enough tools to part out my truck, and all my hunting and camping gear for a 4 day trip.

See now that's a stance I like. And it looked stable when we were on the road. Did you do a write up in your build thread?
