    Technically having the money isn't an issue. It's how much would you have to have so that you would put that much in to a car.

    I personally think if I had about $4,000,000 in stocks, cash and home equity, then I would consider it. Before then, I will just admire.

    But selecting a hefty price tag and only producing 500 hand-made LFA's... Toyota/ Lexus is trying to make a true collector's car. Cost conscious, mass produced cars (Toyota's M.O.) very rarely become collector cars.

    Lexus LFA weighs in at 3,263. Not bad at all. It's a shame they couldn't get it under 3k lbs, because then... it would be a true badass! (A Gallardo is around 3100 lbs)

    They are starting interviews for the prospective buyers in a couple of weeks. Only 500 will be made, 20 per month. You have to have the cash and pass the interview process to get one... kind of like the Ferrari business model.

    Someone said it up above, they are pushing it not so the average person can feel bad about themselves, but to showcase a seriously bad ass car with amazing technology and peek the interest of average Joe to look into what else the Lexus line carries. Pretty good marketing IMO and it lets them brag a bit about their sweet sweet sex machine.
