Send me yours i'll throw it in the Bridgeport with a ball endmill.... I've got an ultrasonic cleaner and an air gun should take care of everything.

Ironically I ordered a CNC Shopmaster mill in August but it hasn't got here yet. So I used a Dremel hahaha.

I don’t think @mZiggy has done either yet. He can be the guinea pig

I bought a South Bend "fourteen" last year thinking I would have a ton of use for it. Seems like I should have gotten a mill instead. I haven't put the lathe to much use unfortunately and it just sits there looking sad.

Normally I would do this in a second (for scrience!), but my accumulator had corrosion that crept in past the metal disc on the back, and managed to get in under the rubber seal in a few places. I wasn't too gentle scraping around the edge and underneath, so I'm not even sure if it would seal properly, especially under pressure. It would most likely be problematic and I wouldn't want that to happen.

You can see the ring of crap on my backing plate in the pics I posted over in the delete thread...

I did see that. Pretty ugly. Makes you wonder how long it would have taken to start leaking....

Yeah man, I'll post a pic of the accumulator body if I think of it tomorrow. Black crusty shit under the rubber seal, when I scraped it the stuff was white and powdery (like corroded aluminum). I had the same thought, a few more years and that thing might have started leaking.

Now, no one freak out. I live in one of the worst rust belts around, so my scenario is probably worst case. Although I undercoat my truck every year (Rust Check), that spot is covered by the heat shield so no product got in there.

I wanted CNC and I needed both mill and lathe. I only have 770sq feet for my whole basement shop so this was my only option. Really excited for it to arrive!

True, I haven't done either, but I also haven't cared to. :notsure: lol

Honestly I've been barely following the developments of the ADM, so I don't actually know a whole lot about what to do either

I talked about this early in the delete thread after making a line. It has been on my list of things to do. Keep getting distracted with other truck stuff. Pro suspension and alignment, MT-90 trans fluid. I’ll get there eventually.

Has anyone gotten a message saying "not enough resources" when trying to open the flash file for this tune?

That is your computer telling you it doesn't have enough RAM. You need to open your task manager and close all the applications that's taking up your RAM.

That's what my suspicion was. I am a mac user, so I bought a brand new (super cheap) pc laptop for this purpose with 32 gb of memory and 4gb of ram. There is literally nothing else on the computer and nothing else running.

4GB should be murderous overkill for these OV programs. Try ensuring everything is closed out with Task Manager (Ctrl+alt+delete)

And only 32gb of memory....like the hard drive? Not 320gb? 32 is tiny af

Win 10 is taking too much RAM idling prob. Disable Cortana and everything in the startup.

If that's not enough you can create virtual memory using HD space. This guy explains it well:

For an update, the 32 gb of memory is basically only enough to run the computer's operating software. After deleting google chrome it is working with less issues. I am hoping that the OVTune program will continue running once I the flash files get downloaded, but TBD.

hopefully this info helps someone in the future.

Since 1.05 for manual is behind all of these complaining automatic people I thought I'd try to spark a debate.

My guess is, since we are being patient, Matt may be willing to listen to our feedback.

He mentioned a 7k rpm option of the tune. He says we are a 1 to 50 ratio to the auto. I personally want this version. If we all agreed maybe he could make the 7k rpm rev limit the default for 1.05 manual version. I think this would help us really start in the power at the beginning of 2nd :-D
