Started a new job yesterday and now will be using my Taco for work.

Following my new boss to our warehouse on the interstate and flip the wipers. Passenger side flys off! Luckily the driver side caught it. Couldn’t help but laugh as I pulled in behind her but felt a little :anonymous:

You’ll be very happy with the Bosch blades, assuming you went with ICONS!

EDIT: Do you get trans temp on your Scanguage?

I have mine setup for both trans temp sensors. It has drastically changed the way I drive. I try my best to keep it under 200 degrees. I had to do union springs with the trailer in 4lo lo. On obstacles it still spiked over 200 but came back down quick.

    Yep, went with ICONS!

No trans temp for me as my scan gauge is from 2007. Also, maybe a dumb question but can you get trans temps from a manual?

Not a dumb question, I had the same one with my last manual Tacoma! No, there are no temps to get. In a manual, the only “fluid” in there is just gear oil and that just keeps everything lubricated.

In an auto tranny, the fluid is completely different and plays a different role.

We had trans temp and rear diff oil temp in the circle track car we also had coolers for them :D. Think about that one and how we got the think ass gear oil to circulate.

I need to bite the bullet and get one...I tried to use a maestro system when I installed my stereo, hoping to get trans temp through it. But it is one of the few options that aren't available on my radio for some reason. Not sure why though. I know trans temp data is reported through the OBD port on a pin somewhere.

I can only imagine what my trans temp does when I have to pull 6-8% grades with my Travel trailer in tow through the Rockies!

I've learned to keep it in 3rd and stay around 3-4k rpms on steep grades. That's in the appalachians. I could only imagine how steep in gets in the Rockies.
