I’m curious how so many people struggle with the stock set up? Move it over one hole and it works fine? I’ve used the factory one since I bought my 30k miles ago. My cap has never once fallen off and hit the side of my truck.

    :notsure:

I'm not down playing the mod in any way. I looked at them when they 1st came out but at that time no 2nd gens "GHoles" were available.
Sorta slid to the back burner then.................

I had my gen 2 for 10 years and let it hang, never had paint or any other issues. I think it’s just a cool little mod and love the helping a side gig aspect. Especially in a community like this.

I'm only baffled that a couple people responded not seeing the obvious humorous sarcasm from OP. Some people must wear their undies a little snug.

Besides, someone said part time, @mesojdm didn't you decide to go full time, or are you just building up the part time gig until you can go with full time. I thought I remembered you meeting with manufacturers and all....just curious. I'm in line too for the cab lighting

I’ve learned that some people on TW can’t help themselves. I was only trying to pay MESO Customs a compliment for how quick they responded to my email and didn’t make excuses, but the response was straight forward. And if it gives them a little more business and I have to wait even longer for what I want, so be it.

Ok, this is going to sound bad, but what second hole do I move it over to and stick it in? Where is the stock hole you're talking about? Also, where is the hook other people say to hang the "string" from. (ya, ya, I know, sounds very bad lol, but I'm serious, lol!)

My bad. It seriously read like a legitimate rant to me, especially given your modest post count. I just assumed you were a noob. Maybe a /s at the end would make it a bit more obvious.

The hole he is talking about is about 2" to the left of the one the tether is in now. I found the tether to short on my truck so I have mine in the hole it was intended for like in the picture. The hook is that gizmo that holds your gas door closed. Like in the photo.

Hanging the cap cord on the door clip literally couldn't be any easier...

I just let mine hang, done it with every vehicle I’ve owned and never once had the cap fall off. No need for me but it’s a cool/clever gadget. No offense taken by people who do it different.

Ahhh ok thanks for the explanation! I'll give the dangle in the hook method a shot. I don't want to let it dangle against the truck since it might pick up mud and dirt and stuff on the threaded part of the cap then it would go into the fuel system. I see the little hole 2 inches from where the tether is inserted but not sure what/how I stick anything in there? Not a big deal, I'll just use the "hook" thing like I said. I was thinking about just cutting the tether and putting the cap upside down on the edge of the box to keep it somewhat cleaner (then probably forgetting about it and driving away and losing the cap then having a check engine light and then have to buy a new cap, lol). Thanks guys!
