I’ve bought two for a couple of buddies from work using my discount. We carry a different model. I’ve built countless ones, they are very well built and we’ve sold quite a few. Not a single return. I’ve cooked more that a few times on one of theirs, with zero issues. I’ve posted before we’ve had several Pitt Bosses returned, all but one was a simple fuse. Highly recommended on the ZGrills.

Edit: we had the ZGrills 700c (last years model on close out) for $269.00 but they all gone best I can tell.

Well damn. Now I don’t know what to do! Seems like good reviews from you guys on Z grills and they’re fairly cheap price wise

But on the other hand I could just say fuck it and ball out and get a GMG or rec Tec with WiFi and I can be lazy... damn this forum!

Are you getting any sort of concession from Traeger? Partial/full refund? Or just selling it with full disclosure?

Good. I was worried you'd be out double the price between the two of you!

Nope we’re just back to square one. Luckily no meat was wasted in my failed attempts. Now the only bad part is having to decide which new one to get :annoyed:

@uhplifted , whichever you do choose, from those, I think you'll be happy. I've loved mine since adding a pooper to my arsenal.

and eventually... @bvbull200 and I will be rocking some new rigs... :fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed:

I'd love to have something like that, but the first thing I need to do before I get one is pour about 80' of driveway. I live in more or less a swamp- Francis Marion lived and fought in this area, and they didn't call him the "Swamp Fox" for nothing. While it has had quite a bit of clearcutting and backfilling in order to build out a residential neighborhood, it still holds water like you wouldn't believe. I don't even want to think about trying to deal with moving a grill like that around- the COS is difficult enough. To say nothing of needing the hardball to continue some of my vehicle projects, house projects, etc etc...

Looks like it. I dont know what the pro means, not sure mine has that designation. It was around 400 beans before christmas thru z grill. Now their promotion is extra stuff comes with it it seems.

I was going RecTec after all my research, only reason it's not what I currently have is because I wanted it NOW and no one stocked them around me. Traeger had regained a lot of their lost reputation when they came out with their new bigger pits with the pro controller so I rolled the dice and picker up the Texas Elite 34 at a local store that had a good return policy. I figured if it sucked I would return it and then order the RecTec but as I said I've had great luck with mine.

At some point in the next year or so I will probably upgrade I like the Pitts & Spitts like @Misplaced Nebraskan bought but they are pricey. So time will tell I may end up with that or a RecTec or possibly some other brand at that point.

Ya that's pretty much what I said and can happen to any that have this setup. Which is also why they tell you to open the lid for the first 4-5 minutes of it starting up.

I'm fairly certain this is exactly what happened with mine yesterday. It flamed out while still on, and then re lit the flame. And then boom. Oh well, time for a new, better grill!
