This may vary based on where you live, but that came up very specifically in my last CCW class. In our state, at least, any pets are personal property. The Trooper teaching the class was very clear that he views his dog as a member of the family, but the law sees it differently. It makes a big difference for use of force situations.

That said, if a dog is threatening you or someone else, you can defend yourself or that other person. How you'd live next door to those people afterwards - they sound like real winners - is another discussion, though.

I don’t know if the cats vs dogs being personal property is a county or state thing to be honest. I know where I live dogs are supposed to be licensed where as cats aren’t. I just remember hearing that if you were to hit a dog with your car you’re supposed to at least try to notify the owner. Inyou hot a cat on obligation to stop or look for the owner. Not sure if it’s an actual law. “Real Winners” is the political polite way to put it. Haha it goes way beyond how the manage their does... there’s just no words to describe the level of lowness. At this point I’ve just resigned myself to be the better person, not risk what I’ve worked hard for and hope karma does it’s justice for society.

Just giving the cat some scratches and was wondering... does anyone else give their cat an aggressive ear massage?
Ill try and explain as I couldnt find any videos showing what I mean.
Basically, where you scratch behind the ear at the base of the skull, you kind of grab the whole ear and move it around with a slight pinching motion. I mean get right in there.
I found Cheech (and other cats) really like it.
It almost seems like it would hurt and sometimes he will shake his head like he has an itch and wants to scratch. When you get going you can hear what sounds like fluid sloshing. Lol no I am not squishing his brain.

I have done this on other peoples cats where they tell me the cats an asshole bla bla bla and their cat ends up loving it. Usually to the amazment of the owner.

 

Never an aggressive ear massage, but they do like a nice rub around the base of their ears. If I get to rough, they'll either leave or try to bite me until I do it right.

 

My wife does the same thing

 

I think they have itchy ear and cant reach it with their paws. Most cats we've had dont mind a little more aggressive ear rub, if its too much then they take off but usually they move their head around where they want it scratched.

 

Fluffy Ass will let me put a finger inside the ear and massage, it's his sweet spot..... he will kick his hind leg like a dog when you hit that magic spot. He is fickle about it though, has to be just right, not to hard, not to soft.

I will see if I can accommodate... wife will have to film it. He is usually laying my chest/face, so it is difficult to do and hold the phone

Aside from having her head scratched, ears rubbed, belly rubbed; Suki absolutely loves having the pads on her back feet rubbed! As soon as I touch her paw (hand) she spreads her paw apart and starts purring like crazy!

 

Augi will run away if you try to touch the toe beans but she loves a good ear scratching...
