We try to keep it active. There is also a local group on Facebook. We may never get back to the old days or the NOVA group but that's how this area rolls with the beach around the next corner

75% yes. I got nothing to mod myself, but I'd love to be there with wrenches, learning, helpingand paying forward before I buy my stuff soon.

Just curious if anyone knows a good shop to have this done? I know the big names, pungo Offroad and eastern truck. Just haven’t talked to anyone who has had it done? I appreciate the replies in advance. Thankyou. Also, didn’t realize that there was a tidewater page. I’m Geoff,I’ve got a 17 DCSB QS taco. I’m getting ready to put an icon S4 with method 701’s and BFG KO2 285/70r17’s on it. And last minute advice would be awesome. Thanks guys.

Last minute advice. Take time to read here before any pulled triggers, make some friends and you won't have to pay (besides a case of beer) to do the lift .Plus you'll learn in the process. Welcome to the family. Even more, welcome to the 17 DCSB QS Virgina family. Sport or off-road?

It’s a sport. And thank you for the welcome. I’ve done quite a bit of reading here and just ran across this deal on offer up that I couldn’t turn down. I’m confident that I will be able to do the lift in my driveway, but... if anyone happens to have somewhere indoors to do it, I’ll bring the beer and pizza, lol. I’ve read the instructions multiple times and am ready. Let me know, and thanks for the welcome.

If you are doing new leafs, the stock bottle jack will be needed with your floor jack for an easier install. We didn’t realize that for a while the first time I helped do an install.

I’d like to try and get it knocked out pretty soon. It looks like the toughest part of the install is the pivot bolt for the upper control arm. My plan is to just cut it off and replace the bolts from the opposite direction. My kit has the billet control arms. Other than that, pretty straight forward from what it looks like. I also read to remove the overload leaf from the pack. Has anyone else here done that? I have a fairly high lift jack and a bottle jack. I have a decent amount of mechanical experience, I’ve been a MM in the navy for the last 14 years, and I’ve had mustangs forever. Probably the most notable upgrades include full supercharger installation, full fuel systems, and full suspension in the rears for those cars. Along with a lot of other small stuff. My current car is running a little over 1200 RWHP, I’m trying to not go as nuts with this truck. But the mod bug bites hard. The truck suspension stuff is new to me. Normally I’m trying to go lower and faster not taller and slower lol. Any truck specific guidance that you guys have for me would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Not sure about the 3Gen UCA pivot bolts but on my 2Gen there were easy to deal with and I didn't cut them off. Just had to undo the wheel well plastics a bit and pull the battery on the driver side one. Installing them backwards was the easier way to do it.

UCA's for my 3rd gen were a bitch. Didn't cut them (probably should've). I bent the sheet metal, pulled the battery and some wire looms to get them out. Put the bolts in correctly in mine and it sucked.
