PS3: who's got one?

I was playing DiRT (a totally badass rally game) on my PS3 this afternoon racing up a Pikes Peak Unlimited hillclimb event in a Tacoma and realized i've never heard anyone on here talking about owning a PS3.... Who's got one and whats your favorite game? If you dont have one... WHY NOT?

 

i just can't seem to kick my call of duty 4 addiction

 

i actually have two...40 and 60 gig. i usually buy games after i finish one. I finished gt5 prologue and now i am playing gta4. my next buy would be either call of duty or some of road game...

 

wow 2 of em huh? i've got the ol' 60gig one. COD:4 is a pretty damn impressive shooter, but depending on when you might wait for Resistance 2 to come out in the next few months.... its gonna be EPIC! the first one was awesome... or maybe Metal Gear Solid 4, thats currently the only game i know of that got a full 10/10 in the reviews.

My husband is the gamer....

In the spring/summer, we use it mostly for the blu-ray player. In the winter when the weather sucks, my husband plays COD 4 lately. Every once in a while when I have time, we'll play something together. I honestly suck at the shooting games cuz my hand-eye controller coordination sucks and I always get killed before I can even react. I like the racing games mostly (Ridge Racer, Motorstorm). While he's playing, I'm usually forum whoring like I am now.

In fact, COD4 (and a buddy of ours) is what got us into playing airsoft.

Yeah I got one too my favorite game thus far is Resistance Fall of Man hands down. I just played Army of Two in coop with my brother in law it was ok but we beat it in like 4 days of play. The I got the force unleashed that is what I'm playing now. It's fun but I got it last monday and I'm on the last mission. I also liked Airborne I can't remember it it was call of duty or what but it was pretty fun as a first person shooter. I've alredy got Resistance 2 on order and I want to play call of duty world at war

 

I have an 80GB (old style with backwards compatability) I'm still addicted to CoD4, and my new addiction is NHL 09. But those addictions will be broken tomorrow when the Resistance 2 beta goes live

Coheed if you ordered it from Gamestop you should have gotten a card to get access to the beta, if you didn't go back in and they'll give you one.

GTA4 did too, although I think it was overrated. Fun game but it's essentially the same as all of them since 3, it get's old after a while.

 

i mainly use mine for a media center on my HD tv since they play blueray and support divx and xvid, so i just formatted my 1tb external HD to fat32 and the ps3 can read it... all of my music and movies and tv shows that i torrent are on it... i can be lazy now since i don't have to get off the couch to swap disks

best two games i've played so far are Heavenly Sword and Ratchet & Clank

 

You know that you can use your network to pipe all of your media onto the PS3? I have mine set up to access all of the media on the 3 computers in my house.

 

oh yeah, but i don't need to access any of that data on other computers, plus i'm in an apt complex and if my wireless gets hacked i don't want anyone to have access to my files (not that i would be dumb enough to put anything important on there) the only advantage I see for me would be that I could then put files larger than 3gb on the drive but i work with both mac and pc so i need fat32 anyways... but thanks for the dyk

xbox 360 here. PS3 just took to long to develope, but BR is cool though. I have Dirt for 360, and it rocks. Best racing game that I've played so far. Both Toyota Trucks rock in the game. Luckily I brought it before COD4 or I probably would have never played it. COD4 is the best game, ever...

still kickin the PS2. cant seem to force myself to drop $4-$500 buck on a game console that i dont play that much. although since i got madden 08 i do seem to be playing a little more.

I have a 60 gig PS3. I have been bouncing between COD4, MLB 08 The Show and Mercs 2. I beat GTAIV but there is unfortunatly no replay value in GTAIV other than the occasional road rage fun. I go by Jester243

alright, i see we have some fellow gamers on here. a few min ago i just got every race in DiRT completed with 10/10 pts except for the final chapionship with like 6 different races in it. i should get er done later today. i think im gonna have to go down to gamestop and get GRID or Pure one of these days. Anyone on here interested in buying the full Special Edition GTA:4 from me? how bout 65 bucks via Paypal and shipped USPS?

 

Haha. glad to see I'm not the only one. I have COD4 for the xbox 360 but since my optical drive went out and it's gone to get fixed to microsoft, I went out and bought the PS3 version so I can play it in the meantime.

Also have motorstorm and Resistance Fall of Man for the PS3. Currently play the Socom confrotation beta and will be getting my pre-order copy from gamestop on October 14th. Socom 2 was very addicting. LOL!

 

I have an 80Gb backwards compatable model. I only have Motostorm and Rockband. I havn't gotten into the PS3 like I have the previous generation playstations. I have a Wii also and it tends to get most of the attention.
