    You're absolutely right but a hi-lift can fail mechanically if it doesn't lock in completely. I have had hydraulic jacks fail me while I was trying to jack up a vehicle and over the years the seals and stuff get worn out and don't work as well and would require a rebuild. There is more maint. to them probably.

    They aren't hard me and dad just did his windows on his cap to reseal them with some 3m mastic tape. Took all of 2hrs to do the front and both side windows. That's with him cleaning every last smudge of the old sealent off the area
