Glad you're "relatively" OK. I had a 95 and I was sure it came with airbags. Maybe not. Maybe there is some kind of a sensor that doesn't deploy them if the seatbelt isnt buckled. Either way, could have been worse. Take care.

Seat belts will do more for your face than an air bag - especially the early airbags - they will make your face look the same way. I am glad to know you we're not hurt more.

I just can't understand why people won't wear their seat belts. I don't know if it was early days of flying or working as a test driver for GM - but I don't pull out of my driveway without wearing one. They prevent more accidents just by keeping you in place!

Haha man, that pretty much describes every road near my house. 55 is pretty much standard for the country roads around here. Plenty of blind hills and driveways.

wow man glad everything ended up ok. i learned the hard way about seat belts a college chick swerved through 2 lanes then slamed on brakes. needless to say the taco ate up the maxima. funny thing is that on my 95 it does have an air bag on the drivers side but didnt deploy.

p.s. me and a few buddies spent a few weekends fixin the truck and i still have it to this day

    of course
Then you should prepare for each hill and corner. A friend of mine taught mortorcyle education, they teach everyone that you should never be moving faster than you can stop within the distance you can see. Sounds like this is expected of you on these roads. Just because the limit is 55 does not mean that one should drive at the limit in all circumstances.
