Has anyone else ever had an issue with SDHQ?

I purchased a SwitchPro mount last Thursday, and missed the email they send where they update the shipping costs, so I paid for it on Friday. As of today, there has been nothing to show that the order has moved or anything. I sent them an email late Monday asking for an update, and they replied immediately with a tracking number. However, that just shows that it is still at SDHQ.

I also called today, and left them a message, just to see if there was a problem, and I'm waiting on a callback.

I understand that shipping takes time, etc, but I feel like it should have at least made it to the post office, right?

Am I being too impatient for something that showed to be in stock and on the shelf?

Maybe I'm just spoiled by Amazon Prime...

My only issue is there shipping policy. Blindly buying something and assuming the shipping won't be exorbitant... not my cup of tea. Then you get the shipping bill, and it's by no means a bargain.

For that reason, I'd probably not shop there again, unless there were no other options.

No issues, but I do agree with the odd shipping policy.

Man if I had to lease something that cost $33 with shipping, I would need to rethink my life choices.

That kind of rubbed me the wrong way, so I'm in agreeance with you on that. Hopefully it shows up by Friday.

Hopefully it's just USPS and the fact that sometimes they don't update anything, but that's why I tried to call and find out.

If a company doesn't give me the shipping amount right up front, I never buy the item

Good idea, it's not difficult for a company to give shipping amount up front if you put in your zip code. Most all companies online do this now.

What is annoying is that they have an Amazon store... which is who I purchased the SwitchPro from... it all just seems odd to me.

    Stuff, things, this, an ADS
Same here. I want to know how bad I’m getting raped with shipping to Hawaii before I buy lol. Sometimes the shipping is almost as much as the item.

Yeah, I don't do Amazon either. I'll go straight to a company site or use eBay since you can bid and submit best offers.

Wheelersoffroad does it this way too, but the difference is they tell you up front that shipping will need to be calculated. They also offer to provide a quote before you buy. In their case it’s so they can get you the lowest quote vs. whatever the estimate spits out when you checkout.
