It's less Tacoma and more mod
I'm not sure I'd do it with a modern diesel. There's nasty stuff in motor oil after it's been used. Old ass diesels usually fare better with waste oil burning.

Synthetic really doesn't burn? I did not know that. I've always been afraid to switch to a synthetic oil after using conventional for the vehicles entire life. I know the new stuff isn't supposed to mess with the seals but still. Don't like messing with that stuff.

Crate or case? I just ordered some with 2018 inspection dates. 80.00 for 2 cases. Always have a couple in the truck. Just in case of the big earthquake.

    Case, sorry.

$80 is a damn good deal for one case, let alone two.

Granted my mileage is really low compared to most but I switched to full synth Pennzoil last year and haven't looked back, it's nice not having to change it quite as often and it always looks better when I do. I still need to get a sample tested one of these days.

Yeah, there are lots of metals and potentially water and coolant contamination as well.

Plus injectors are like $300 each lol

Same here. But even when I was driving 'regular' cars all through college and a few years afterward and didn't do anything on them myself, I still had a basic understanding of vehicles and how they needed to be properly maintained to run well and last. Kids, hell adults even, these days are hopeless. When I have kids, boy or girl they're going to learn how to take care of a vehicle.

A car/truck is a big money investment and so many people seem to think they just need gas and they're good to go endlessly, until something happens then they get pissed thinking they got screwed somehow

I use it case we use royal purple at work and I can get it for free. And I change it every 5k even though it says it can last 10k. Also my engine seems to be cleaner. When I got my valve gaskets replaced I asked my mechanic how it looked and he said "for a engine with 140k on it pretty clean." I do have a blackstone test result if you want to look at it.

People treat cars like appliances and expect them to just work

Hell even most appliances need more maintenance than most people realize or care to take the time to learn about. I'm sure @Sperrunner can attest to that now lol

I'd check it out if you had it laying around, how do you like the royal purple? It's usually pretty expensive if you don't get it for free isn't it? I usually use Castrol high mileage and a Toyota filter.

Oh god when I moved out of my last place I refused to pay a cleaning fee to the landlord so I meticulously cleaned everything, the oven took me forever...I don't think it had ever been cleaned by anyone. I got my whole deposit back though so it was worth it I guess lol.

Water holds exactly the same amount of oxygen in any state of matter. 1 oxygen for every 2 hydrogen (H20).

There is something called heavy water, but that has 3 hydrogen and is somewhat radioactive.

Wetness is simply a measure of water content in a substance. Rock, soil, other liquids. It doesn't really specify the water has to be a liquid. Take the same # of molecules of liquid H2O and freeze them, and the only property that will change is that the density will go down because water expands as it freezes. Anyone who ever watched that MacGyver episode where he's trapped in a walkin freezer would know that.

    Science bitches.
