I said the same thing. Pretty sure I used the words "limp" and "struggle back." 5 is enough for that, you'll be a bit above the low line on the dipstick.

 

6 qts puts it right on the full mark on the dipstick.

Today was the 3rd 14 hour day in a row. It is starting to get to me a bit. Big ERP rollout started at work this week. Hopefully this doesn't go on too long.

 

Yuk, those suck. Hope they don't last long for ya, and/or that you're able to do something rejuvenating for yourself over the weekend.

Was my 6th 14 hour day. Finished on a 15.5.

4 albums done in 6 days.

Plus video shoots. And photos.

@turbodb Alaska someday. Canada is more interesting to me overall. I am salary now haha but not ready to push the limits yet.

@m3bassman yes it's only 850 to Anchorage. But I figure if you start here and drive through Canada to get there..you'll be due for one. Granted I have family in Palmer so could just do it there too. I know when Alex did his trip up there he changed the oil in the field.

 

We changed the oil before left MT, took the ferry up to AK. Drove to Prudhoe and back to Anchorage before we hit the 5k service interval. I carried spare OEM filters and two quarts of oil. Picked up a 5qt jug at Walmart before heading in to do the service.

I was due again when I got back to MT after some more driving around AK and coming home through Canada. Northwest / Western Canada is vast...

 

Canada is huge. So much stuff to see there.

True. Haha although my point was about doing an oil change on the trail. Which I wouldn't opt for but could be an option.


@turbodb they make oil racks for off-road race trucks. Trail gear sells them and eBay too I'm sure. Like my battery cages just for oil. Not for a 5gal jug of oil but you could fit 4-6 1 quarts and it'll keep them standing up in one of those military boxes. Alaska the gear oil is too tall for those boxes.

 

Got the little truck back today. It started to fire just barely. Think its not getting fuel. Hoping its a bad fuel filter, going to start there tomorrow. Been nice weather and sunny out.

 

So riddle me this. Topped off the oil in the little truck. Started right up.

Never had that happen before..

That's because there isn't one. I'm calling intermittent fuel pump or fuel pump relay

 

Yeah no connection why it was weird.

Started 3 times no issues.

Now it won't.

I did start to change the fuel filter but it wouldn't stop draining so I put it back together to move it to the sloped driveway and it won't start again.

Not hearing the pump so must be it.

Not finding a relay for it though either?

 

Kick the tank a few times to move the commutator bars in the pump and see if she kicks

 

Sputtered. No start though.

There's no relay in the fuse box either

 

Sounds like time for a new pump. If you even think you might want boost just go for an Aeromotive 340

 

Yeah. Shit. I don't want to do that haha I hate doing fuel pumps. Plus I have 3/4 tank of gas.

 

Pulling the bed back like two feet is easiest anyway and then it doesn't matter how much fuel you have
