@StOrMyThEtAcO I got the drivers side turbo out last night!! Definitely need a safety meeting after that shit. Also got brave and finally removed the tensioner and timing belt. Also got one of the cams off so I could replace the seal behind it. So happy with the amount of progress I made. Hope you get a lot done this weekend too brotha!!
Check out how bad this top pully was!!

Hell yeah man! Nice progress! I've definitely been slacking. Holidays... And now just other shit.. distracting me for sure.

UCA's will be ready to pick up next week. The shop is just busy. No worries.. I still have a ton to do in the meantime.

Sand blasted the sway bar. Gonna rattle can it red for the hell of it.

Just got home from work.. guess I should get out there and start.

got the passenger side about torn out. will finish pressing the lca bushing out tomorrow and get the UCA out.. then start assembling up to the same point the driver side is at.

    IMG_20190105_180930.jpg

also had to cut down the extended studs for the rear, in order to clear the hub and back of drum. about half an inch shorter than the fronts.. and about a quarter inch longer than factory.

So much progress!!! Where do you sandblast your parts? I have some pieces I would like to do and have them powder coated.

I used a buddy's cabinet to get the majority of it, but couldnt reach the ends due to the size of the cabinet. So I used a connection where I used to work at ADD and had them finish it real quick in the booth.

otherwise.. section 8 and some other places are good spots.

    lmao! right

I got the steering linkage all assembled and mocked up. tierods set to factory lengths, etc. just need to slap it in. should have the front end done this weekend. debating if I want to let it sit more though so I can do the rear.. or just throw the 4" block in for now and drive it.. then do the rear leafs down the road. leaning towards just letting it sit and finishing it 100%.

It's going to be so nice once you get it on the road. If you don't have to rush it, don't, I think you will be more happy that way.

Agreed. It'll save time too rather than tearing it apart twice. So maybe by the end of the month it'll be raod worthy again.

I’d get it road worthy and put miles on it. Worst part about a project car is loosing interest. You’ll never get to “100% finished” since it will always be an ongoing project. Do the blocks now if you have them.

it will only be another couple weeks. definitely havent lost interest. I'd rather just let it sit so I can adjust everything with all the new parts at once instead of having to do it twice. Once the leafs go in, then I can see how it sits and adjust accordingly. I may even need to do a custom ~1" block on top of that to get the height right.

I've definitely learned to do it right the first time. so sticking with that mentality on this thing.

I am itching to drive it tho!!

I'm to the point that if I can reuse something I'm going to. I'm well into the 4k range of money spent on this thing. I just have to same some money somewhere.
