I'm sure you're a good guy but with antics like that we should all pitch in for a Cam at your home. I'm sure we could win video mishaps with ease!

To the OP: Your Doing it all wrong. Your not gonna get your LSD to work correctly that way. The LSD works in certain locations only. Do the exact same thing you did before, but this time put your car near the edge of a cliff. Should work like a charm.

Maybe the OP was trying lysergic acid diethylamide!

You sure about that? Check the engine RPM vs. speedometer.

I (now) know that the taco uses the ABS/Traction sensors to compute vehicle speed, but does it really take a plain average of the sensor inputs?

In conventional systems with the speedometer read from the transmission output shaft, a speedo reading of 60 mph with one drive wheel stationary would cause the rotating wheel to be going twice as fast.

Hitch and wiring, aux back-up light, rear strobe lights, radio and underseat sub.
LSD will only provide torque up to it's clutch rating, then it slips. It's somewhere around 100 lbs ft.
Wheel on ground with one wheel spinning=smoking diff, open or LSD.

I dont know why this is getting repeated but needs correction ....

Factory LSD installed in 05-08 Tacomas works with wheel in the air.
it will provide at best 150 foot-pound torque. Not a lot but still does.:D

You are lucky it didn't decide to engage at 60. Just because you were in an open area doesn't mean anything. At the very least you probably would have snapped an axle shaft

i have a 1994 doge dakota 4x4 with a 318v-8 in it and when it had a conventional diff i could get on the highway at 70mph in the rain and floor it and just one tire would spin. the i threw a mopar drag diff (lsd) in it and when i got on the highway at 70mph in the rain and floored it it would throw side way across three lane of road if i wanted it to. dont think your lsd is work or your just simply dont have one in your truck.

I hate to repeat what everyone has already said. But, what you did was EXTREMELY foolish and dangerous. With that said.......

Are you positive you even have a TRD Sport? There have been many trucks sold as TRD models when they were just base SR5s with TRD stickers.

Question about TRD sport LSD : With the rear jacked up on stands and the truck in neutral, if I spin a wheel (by hand), the other should spin the same way, correct? Or does it need resistance?
