    Rubber chicken?

What map application do you have running on the smartphone?

It looks like you have a dual band HT with both bands monitoring the same frequency. Why would you do that?

Dont worry about the chicken ;)

For maps I use an app called "MyTrails" highly recommend. I've been helping the developer make it more vehicle friendly since hes a hiker and been running it for several years now. Still my favorite app.

The handheld is on simplex on one channel and has an offset on the other. But alot of times in a trail ride I dont generally care to listen to repeater traffic. I'll turn both to the convoys station so I only get trail coms.

A large shipment of DMM and DSM orders left the taco garage (my garage) on Thursday, another one on Friday. Those should start hitting your doorsteps pretty soon. keep an eye out!

They are to align the plates and holes so when you actually use them it’s easier to install them. You need to use both on every plate mount

I know a couple members already beat me to it but yes the two smaller Allen screws are only installation aids. When securing the bottom plates it is a good idea to have those screws put in before tightening down the end bolts just make sure they line up after everything in tight. It’s easier to understand in the install video than with words... but they can be discarded after installation.

I was going to do the plugs, but I wanted something like thumb screws (and some thing black). After I got my DMM, looked on Amazon and eBay and found these. Yeah, they stick out a little, but I can use my digits to easily remove them without growing fingernails. Only downside is that I got a whole bag of these and only needed six (two spares)!
