Towed a Ram 1500 out of a ditch on the way to work. He had swerved off the road avoiding an elk that ran across the road.

 

Unable to pick up the sign. Would've been too dangerous. After I hit it, it flew over my truck into the center of the highway.

 

This is on my to do list (before I hit the sign). Looking at the front and rear cams from BlackVue.

No, I think he was going pretty slow and he got his passenger tires off the road in the snow and with his inexperience of off road snow driving he slid in, because the wheel marks suggested he slid in sideways parallel to the road.

And nobody was stopping to check on him so I stoped and offered a shovel and a tow.

Archivegarage website: The cross tube DOES add an additional improvement in ride quality (~10-20% of hanger improvement), because it connects the 2 hangers and frame rails together which adds torsional rigidity. This also protects the frame from stress applied to one hanger like rock hits.

 

Sounds like a great thing to add. Are there any downsides to this modification? Less flex off-road?
