Well a couple good sales and Im officially enjoying the Dewalt Toughsystem setup. Still waiting for a couple more "arms" to show up. Just need to find a day and move all my random tools into their new home

I find the largest size is the most handy for what I use them for

I havent gotten any of the large sized one yet. Right now the small size ones are working well for me. Lots of one off tools or just random tools (like sawzall) that fit nicely into them instead of just being loose around the garage for me.

But I like having them in a sort of "kit" for certain things. Like all my electrical tools are in one (minus a few things) so its nice to just grab it for any electrical job I have. Or all my sanders and sand paper in one (i dont do much sanding lol)

I did get the dolly (cart?) too which has the large size one but is attached to the dolly all the time. It was part of the sale. But thatll be nice to load up with stuff and take out into the yard type of thing.

In my case I don't keep tools in them , I have 4 of the largest size that are stored empty . I use them to transport job specific tools and materials when I go to do small jobs in my truck

I do have 1 of the small ones with the interior fastener bins that I use to transport assorted fasteners

I kind of figured that was your use for them. Think you'd posted pictures of them before too.

That will be my use for the cart one though. Pretty much same way you use yours. All the others I got more for storage than transport

Finished part 2 of 3 of the master bath - the vanity. Redid the walk in closet in September and now just have to retile the shower/bath.
Wanted to replace the vanity with a setup like this for awhile but the thing is huge - 120" long and nice setups were almost 5k. Builder also tiled around the vanities so taking them out would mean a new floor, and since there's about 1800 sqft of matching tile throughout the house really didn't want to go down that route.

Instead, for about $600 I kept the old bases, raised them up 4" to a modern height, built the middle cabinets to fit and made new doors/drawer fronts so everything would match. Sprayed everything and added two $30 clearance granite vanity tops and am super happy with the results. (The strip of matching granite on the center cabinet is actually one of the 4" backsplashes that came with the tops!) New lights, mirrors and a tile backsplash complete the transformation.

This totally needs to happen in my bathroom. We have the same double vanity with so much unused space.

That is an awesome transformation. Nice work there, and a lot of needed storage right at your fingertips.

Very nicely done. My bathroom is almost the same layout, and my wife and I hate it and would love to do something like this.

House is back down on terra firma . Flush beams installed , new posts milled from the old 6x8 fir beams installed to our new footings and temporary support walls coming out. We have a few details to clean up then the next major work is to remove the existing slab and lower the basement floor.

How cost effective is this method vs lifting the house the necessary height?
