I know there are some threads out there but have you guys had any problems with entering your VIN# when setting up Entune? No matter what I do it will not let me create my account for my 2019. I am using an iPhone 7. Ideas?

I gave up. I tried several different times and it doesn't take mine either.

I didnt have any issues with my 2018, but that was before the update to remove Pandora. Since then I haven't even used the app.
This is the Entune App on the phone you are talking about right?
I just noticed your info states you have a SR. If thats the case you don't have the Entune App capabilities.

WOW, I am getting so discouraged already with this truck. Between the engine/trans shuttering under acceleration and now the Entune not working I am starting to think I made a mistake in buying a truck that I thought was top in its class.

Entune Premium uses the App suite. Entune Audio is just a basic system, and Entune Plus on the SR5 uses Scout GPS connectivity. Entune is the name covering the whole system, but like I said, Premium with App suite is found in the TRDs and some SR5s I think, but standard on TRD. No Apps for you.

The SR radio doesn't have the Entune apps. If you want to get the entune suite, you need the radio with the apps button. Either the 6.1 inch upgrade or the premium upgrade. When you buy a used radio, also get the VIN number to register it. Unfortunately, even with the vin and the proper radio, it didn't register me. From what I have read about the Entune suite, we are not missing anything. s-l1600m.jpg

Gee whizz. I think I will just leave mine as is. Sure don'y want to swap the unit out only to still have issues getting it to work correctly.

I was having problems logging on to the entunes app and recovering my password. My solution? Replace the headunit with a Pioneer AVIC-8400. :notsure:

I have an SR5 with entune plus. Mine has the apps button but cannot use 3rd party apps or the entune apps suite. I can only use what’s in there ... phone, settings, the crap GPS that has to use your phone, and etc. nothing special.

Well, I hate that you guys have bad luck with it but I am relieved that I don't have to deal with that disappointing feature.

I don’t have bad luck with it. It works as intended. Now if I wanted the premium, I would have had to shell out another xxxx.xx for the system. If that were the case, I would have gotten the premium with JBL that has the app suite, amp, and subwoofer! But for the price, I would go aftermarket.

Well after reading all the answers to this issue, I don't see any solution, I have a new 2020 SR5 and I'm experiencing the same problem, I can't set the Entune app. I have a family member with the same SR5 but a 2019 and his Entune is set and working. I see some of you think is not worth getting this app, that is crap. Are there any other app you guys recommend getting for my SR5?

My 2019 SR5 has Entune Premium with integrated navigation, because I ordered it that way.
As far as I'm concerned it works great.

Hi All! First post here. . . Has anybody found resolution for this issue? I just purchased a 2021 Tacoma TRD Off-Road last month, and I am having the same issue with setting up Entune. When I attempt to create an Entune account on the phone app with my Galaxy S9+ it tells me "Download the Toyota app and stay connected to your vehicle," and will not let me proceed. I have done all of this, and I know I am connected to the vehicle. When I try to create an Entune account on the website (https://www.myentune.com/login.jsp), it gives me an error that states "Please ensure you have entered the VIN correctly and your vehicle is Entune or Enform App Suite capable." I know I entered the VIN correctly, and just to verify I pasted the VIN I typed into the Toyota vehicle specification lookup site, and it successfully looked up the details on my vehicle.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have tried everything I can think of. I have also done a lot of internet searching. It seems like this has been a prevalent issue for a few years now, but I can't find any resolution.

    Thanks in advance!
