    Was anyone looking for Bookers 2018-01 (Kathleen's Batch)? Local Bevmo has, literally, cases lying on the floor. I ended up with a bottle of Scotch from a very small distillery- apparently only 3 guys who operate/run the place and produce small volume. Read good things, can't wait to try.

    That's a great score on the Parker's Heritage. It was a raffle item at my local store, too. Other than the BTAC stuff, it was the only other one I had interest in.

    Good to know that Kitchen Table is in the area. I trust I'll grab a couple of bottles soon enough.

    I bought three bottles when it came out (Kathleen's Batch) - still have two left. It is the second best batch of Booker's I have ever had behind only 2015-01 (Big Man, Small Batch) - a point I know I've trumpeted out here repeatedly :laugh:.

    I'll eventually run out, move on to other Booker's, then, in a couple/few years, remember how good it is and wish I had bought more of it. I have a strong feeling it will appreciate in value faster than its contemporaries.

    Yeah I didn't win any raffles so no chance at any BTAC stuff, at least from GG. If you're interested in a PH I would give them a call and just ask if they have any raffle leftovers. Wouldn't be surprised if they had multiple bottles of it...

    The 2018-4 was from Abilene. The bottle I got today was the 2016-4 bluegill creek batch. Thought it was odd they had stuff from 2 yrs ago... I have been in tri cities before and don't recall any bookers being available.

    I may have to pick up a bottle. I got to a point where I thought I wouldn't buy more than I drank - sort of a zero sum thing where, upon emptying a bottle I would buy one. No more, no less. That didn't last long! It is truly turning into a collection and is running out of room.

    I'll see a random older batch of Booker's from time to time, too. It is weird how/when some stores come across the stuff. Not quite as old as that Bluegill Creek you got, but I did pick up a 2017-04 (Sip Awhile) the other day.

    There is a limit, obviously, but I like the large(ish) collection of open bottles that hovers around the same size give/take 5-10 bottles. Lots of types, proofs, price-points, levels of rarity, etc. covered at the same time means I always have something fun to offer guests and can do some interesting flights/tastings with people newer to whiskey. Frankly, 85% of what I have only gets consumed with friends and family. There are only a handful that I will drink regularly at my own convenience (i.e. when BBQing).

    Which bottle did you score? I sure do enjoy this small batch bottle and can't wait to try the barrel proof.

    The small batch colonel EHT is quite tasty. I have a bottle of it open currently and another put away; also have a single barrel open. I think the small batch is more well rounded, and you cant go wrong at around half the price of the SB.

    I’d love to find a barrel proof or 4 grain, but I won’t hold my breath.

    @bvbull200

    Better get on the hunt. I called all my normal spots and then some up here in north TX and no one had seen it yet. Specs treated it like pappy and it went to certain customers from what they told me.

    Good luck! I called places from Argyle to Aubrey to Gainesville. No dice. Well keep trying though.

    Goody goody told me there might be some at there stores in Longview but that’s quite the drive. But they may have just been sold wholesale to restaurants/bars. Didn’t call to inquire further when I saw Longview was 3hrs away lol

    Even Williams Green label is not only smooth whisky but also a very high class one. Your social status will sky rocket and often time yacht clubs will reach out to consumers offering free memberships.
