    Never enough
Anyone put together a camping/truck first aid kit recently? Looking for something small/light enough to live in a “go bag” without taking up all the room. Don’t need anything super crazy, just looking for something to cover the basics of what you could reasonably expect to encounter while wheeling/camping. Not looking to perform field surgery or anything like that. Would it be better to buy something pre-packaged or to put it together myself?

I didn't put it together myself, but it's a nice compact bag and has a good amount of basic stuff. I added a touniquet as well.

Copied the link but forgot to paste.

I was thinking of the ones you put together in the Recovery Q&A thread. Not first aid, more survival and recovery...so my bad!

I havent tested that yet, but tomorrow will be a good day to do it with the expected snow. They show up around 25-40 mph and then fade way. Is that the "tell" if they go away in 4wd?

I remember his. O well,:notsure: If that is your issue let me know and we can do it. Either in the garage or heated bay.
Takes at least 3 hrs depending on the bs.

That'll be a good project for tomorrow when it's dumping snow.

Yes, needle bearing vibes go away in 4wd because you load up the axle.
Don't need snow, just flick into 4 on a straight section of road.

You are probably thinking we did it because of all the fuckery with the trashed threads on my CV axle and having to replace that too. Hopefully there's no BS...both sides have been taken apart very recently. I'll bring a spare this time.

60 days, or midnight the date that it says on the tag. However they can be extended if there's an issue, like you ordered custom plates and they are taking longer than expected. I thought they gave you new ones though, so either that guy is way late and going to pay a penalty, or he's got a weekish left if he got the full extension. Edit: strike that, full extension would only be if he got them on the date that says, which isn't the case. Dude's late and will be paying for it. And on that note I need to go home. And sleep. /edit

Different states collect the tax differently (or the same money as a different tax), but it usually balances out to be the same (unless you're Wyoming, in which case fuck it, who needs a tax). CO doesn't charge full value every year, but it's based on taxable full value (considerably less that what you actually pay) and a percentage scale that drops every year until you hit 10 years (vehicle model year, not ownership) and it's the $3 minimum. The actual plate fee is based on vehicle weight.

Basic rule, don't go overboard. No need to pack a bunch of shit that you don't know how to use that will just go bad anyway, hoping someone else on scene is a paramedic and would know how to use it (yet somehow wasn't carrying their own). Tourniquet (and know how to use it, most don't), sterile gauze and bandages, some medical scissors if you like and don't have anything else to cut with, some sterilizing pads or liquid (alcohol, iodine), some nitrile gloves, maybe a mini-first aid book for field refreshment/instructions, some compression straps (like you'd use on a sleeping mat or bag) to help make a splint out of something... I think there's a specific thread on the topic around here somewhere. I know Stig had done recent lists/research into things.

Interesting email from my garage door opener company this week. They are parterning with Amazon. I can sign up to give Amazon Drivers access to my garage door opener and they will leave the packages in my garage.

    Do I look stupid?!?!?!
