I don't fit in the bed. If I did I'd have made one of those a long time ago.

I need to start getting serious about my flippac build up... June will be here before I know it.

 

I always try to keep it simple. It’s only 5 pcs including th slide and only takes a couple mins to put in or pull out. It’s the same setup I had when I dropped off the tires for @Subway4X4 at AOAA. And having a pre-setup bed with no tear down is super nice.

I’ve change the design of this setup 4 times. (Between both trucks) But I’ve only purchased 2 sheets of plywood. Haha. Always mangaged to make shit with scraps or modify it so I didn’t have to buy anything.

 

Waste not, want not.

I've got all the plywood from the previous flippac owners build to reuse for my own.

 

Building from scratch or modifying a shell or something?

 

customizing the interior for better functionality & storage. I'm going to elimiate the useless side windows and make storage on either side of the interior. (among other things...)

I gotta say that the system @TinyTech626 Liz did is really impressive though.

 

I believe I have a 1st gen interior blower motor. Was mounted in my '05. Works fine. It's not a mod, but it's free.

It really has become one of my favorite things I've done to the truck. That thing is solid. I think once the cap is done, and I get the rack, I'll really be in business for camping and adventures.

 

I said I wouldn't do this because I haul firewood often, but I really think until a can do a RTT this is the best option for camping. It might have to be a spring time project.

 

That is me. I'm not a mechanic or carpenter. I see all this stuff that everyone builds themselves and I am just in aww. Only one way to learn though. Time to find that side of me I guess.

Hopefully with this change comes more time to spend with friends, hiking adventures and truck adventures. I really cannot wait!

 

This is honestly my biggest issue. I have very basic tools, so I have enough to do what I want usually, but it is the hardest way to do it. Therefore I hate when I actually have to do something. I need to do some remodeling, so I am going to be getting a decent cordless set. I just cant decide between Dewalt or Milwaukee. I also want to get a good 1/2 cordless impact for wheel changes and well everything else that little thing will run, that is the most valuable tool I could add to the garage at this point.

 

Do you prefer red or yellow? They'll both get the job done.

 

I really don't want to pollute the thread with sleeping platforms @TinyTech626 @Blackout14 do you have pics in your build threads? Maybe I'll get some ideas from them.

 

All my shit is basic... it gets the job done.

 

I would not consider that “thread pollution”...
