2016 TRD 4x4 Off Road Lift

Was thinking of doing the Bilstein 5100 at the 2 inch setting and a 1 inch aal in the rear. Heard that this would raise it up and it would sit level. Was wondering opinions on this set up or better options if recommended. Was going to use factory springs if possible. Don’t want to make the ride bad. Also what tires could I fit doing this set up or a similar one and not need any other modifications?

True there’s tons of threads on this. But to throw my opinion out there. Instead of using factory springs. I would get the 887 OME springs. to compliment the 5100’s at zero notch. The 887 springs do the lifting. According to a lot of threads. It’s the best way to do it. Because with factory springs and 5100 you might loose some comfort

 

im getting ome 888 with 5100s front and 5100 AAL 1.5 in the rear on saturday. i will tell you how i like it

Terrible! I have a 1 inch rake
Hub to fender measurements are
22 inches for the front 23 for the rear
Idk why i didnt get that extra inch upfront to sit leveled

Check out the Dobinsons quick ride kit. It uses a block and new u bolts in the rear but gives you a big upgrade in ride quality. Plus the Aussie kits are super reliable too.

Do you have a winch or bumper or anything on the front?

 

I run the MLO GTS suspension which features Dobinsons struts in black and custom red Dobinsons coils in our selected spring rates. So yes, it’s very similar to that kit except I have the Dobinsons rear leaf springs instead of blocks. I have a Norweld aluminum canopy that weighs nearly 1000 lbs so I needed some heavy leafs.

I made the switch from OME to Dobinsons and I couldn’t believe how much better of a ride the Dobinsons twin tubes were over the nitro sports which are great shocks. The coil they include is a 2” coil for stock loads up front and the blocks basically level the truck. Their coils are also Aussie engineered and manufactured in house in Australia which is also pretty cool. I run Main Line Overland New Hampshire and have sold a bunch of the complete kits and everyone has been really happy with them. I hope more people on here give them a shot. I hope this helps!

 

This is a good starter lift. Should bolt on nicely.

 

How are these holding up in the NE? I had OME's on two non-garaged and daily-driven trucks and they looked like crap after one Winter in NE PA. I guess the Aussie's are not all that familiar with Winter salt.

 

5100’s all around rear aal IMO great budget lift. Eibach as well. Good luck OP some of us are here to help others haven’t got there afternoon naps in so don’t pay attention to that Just laugh.

 

5100’s are meant to be used with oem coils talked Bilstein direct on this topic. Just my 2cents. Also no sag with OEM coils.
