Did you guys torque down the bearing assembly bolts? I could only fit a wrench in there, and I don't believe a socket would even fit in between. Looks like its supposed to be 59 ft*lbf. Mine's making a slight noise each rotation, maybe mine didn't seat completely right (my fault/first time installing this).

Make sure to clean out the spindle of any dirt/rust before installing. Use some MP synthetic lube on the o-ring and make sure it seats evenly. Blue lock tite on the 4 bearing assembly bolts and use a box end (or similar closed end) wrench to torque them down good and tight. I rechecked these bolts after temporarily installing the axle bolt and then again after a few miles of driving to seat everything.

Make sure that the axle bolt is correctly torqued. Any binding might be due to over torquing.

To do that properly you’d need a torque adapter.
The bolts come with a lock tight type coating on them already, no need to add but if already did probably wouldn’t hurt.

I got a bunch of parts to rebuild front end like the upper/lower control arms, inner/outer tie rods, sway bar links and am eyeballing your hub assemblies. While I'm doing all of this I was considering doing the axles and if I do so, should I be doing anything else past the axle on the diff side? If it helps I have a 07, 4x, 4.0, Dbl cab, Sport with 185k. Thanks.

    I'd consider these things:
    CV outboard dust seal 90304-A0001
    ECGS bushing
    Carrier oil change

I just "started a conversation today". Front passenger side is growling like crazy and at lunch to day I jacked up the front and found ~.5" of play in the 6-12 o'clock position. Hoping it will last until I receive the parts.

@lo2hi I would think a crows foot would be the appropriate tool to use for getting those bolts torqued.

Nice! I was wondering about the name for those adapters. I did both wheel bearings without them, and just got them nice and tight.

Nothing, I was just being random.

but anyway, I've been told that if you use a crows foot at a 90 degree angle that it really should not affect the torque settings. no it with that being said I would probably use the shortest one possible at a 90 degree angle and take it with a grain of salt.

Obviously if you use a crows foot straight on and extend the length of the tool that will affect everything
