As a Canadian I don't really understand the need but then again we are 36 mil vs 400 mil in the US, if the percentage of dangerous people is the same, you have way more chance to stumble on one of them.

Still planning to get my PAL this winter, got my eyes on the Tikka T3x CTR... Kind of tired of plinking with a pellet gun hahaha

That's actually valid. Have the front for a mag and the rear for crackers because if I have time to reload I have time for tactical snacks. :infantry: I just need to put tactile grips on the crackers so that I don't accidentally jam them into my pistol while munching on 9mm+P.

I kid, it's a nice mod. If I were to do something similar I'd wrap a fold of matching fabric around the front to further obscure the view, because I prefer that people not know my carry status. It's a surprisingly common sight that when I'm walking across the grocery parking lot, a glint of shiny plated nickel catches my eye. Sure enough, there's a random joe chevy owner, front door open, back turned, rummaging through the center console, and weapon in plain sight. I think to myself how lucky that guy is, that I'm not interested in vehicle burglary while he's in the store shopping...

The US also generally has two types; those that carry and those that don’t care or are anti-gun. Those that do carry like to plan for contingencies. We have had lots of mass shooting here. It seems like the answer to getting your feelings hurt is to go shoot up a public venue. It’s a good way to protect you and your family while you seek cover. Also as others have said, why not?!

The CTR is a great rifle, love mine.

Nice write up OP! Not a fan of plain view BUT super clean install and looks awesome!

I think I would rather use Velcro strips to secure a holster or mag pouch instead of drilling holes in my seat. But it is a nice install.
