My dealer wanted 1/2 hr labor... $77 to do it. I wish all of the truck settings we're available in the head unit.

Your money, piss it away as you see fit. But if you require more than three blinks to change lanes, then you suck.

Unless you're in a state that requires that you signal for x feet before changing lanes.

Your speed matters when you're changing lanes. In the city 3 is fine, at 75 not so much.

Edit - It's a cheap fix to do yourself. Not sure about the hate on the expense since having something to monitor your vehicle via OBDII and make simple changes saves in the long run

Yeah, not buying it. But again, it's your money, flush it as you see fit.

You can't, not that I have found. Which is why I had to use Carista.

I had this changed by my dealer several months ago. Mine is set to blink 5 times. Three isn't enough FOR ME.

They did it at my 5K service for FREE.

I also had them TURN OFF THE SEAT BELT WARNING CHIME for both the driver and passenger (2 separate settings) :)

I had to tell them these settings were adjustable using their tech-stream program, they were happy to change things for me.

Unless you have no real idea whether you want it to blink 3 times or 80 until you've driven a few hundred miles.

I prefer to think that it is not I who sucks, but the idiots driving around me doing everything but paying attention who actually suck. Giving oneself more of an opportunity to be seen making a lane change seems like a worthy cause.

I like it at 5 , so that was worth it to me. I dont see it as pissing money away. Its my money, my truck, I can do as I wish. How many people spend money on other mods that have no function other than looks?

I don't think sucking is involved, but being that a-hole making a lane change doing 70 in front of a tractor trailer with three flashes may be your move.

I agree... except these things should be available via the entune interface, so that users don't need the dealership. I would certainly understand in some circumstances where you are defeating or changing a mandated requirement, but otherwise, this stuff should be available. If you're going to make it dealership only... the least you can do is expect your customers to request it and have staff knowledgeable enough to actually perform the task.

I take that back... I said the least they could do... clearly they have set the bar lower.

Why do you want this though? 3 blinks is / has been the lane-change standard for a long time

because he wants to and it's his truck.

never fails to see people post asking why just because in their mind they can't comprehend the reasoning. have some empathy for someone wanting something outside of your own small perspective.

I'm so confused on how to do this.. I was not even aware this was a feature and when I just went to grab some breakfast tried it. Even when lightly pressing it down it just blinks like normal. What am I doing wrong? lol
