Look on your tires... The K02's..

Unless its been scrubbed off, there should be a random blue dot on the tire...

Put that dot on the punch mark on your wheel...

If you can't find the punch mark, put the dot closest to the valve stem..

It is ok if the blue dot is on the inside of the wheel and not right next to the valve stem.. As long as its lined up with the valve stem you'll be good..

Ask your shop to use the blue dot... Thats what its for..

 

Lots of warnings about the tires ,yet guys just keep on buying them.

 

So your suggestion is to go back in time and un buy them?

Try balancing beads from www.counteractbalancing.com or www.innovativebalancing.com
I started using them years ago when I had a fleet of trucks and trailers. I still use them on my Tacoma and motorcycles and they’ve always worked well for me.

 

Those tires have a manufacturers warranty. Takes them back and tell them they are bad tires and swap for a different brand. Any reputable shop would have no problem doing this.
I know @T4RFTMFW had issues with a set of coopers and did this.

 

Pretty sure samsclub (where I bought them from but did not have them mounted) said I voided the manufactures warranty by not having them install them

I had issues with Hankook Dynapro tires, went through 6 before saying fuck it and going with Cooper Discoverers and had no more issues.

Tire shop refunded me in full and never charged me a dime, took all tires back under manufacturer defect.

 

From previous experience i’d say you’ve prob got a bad tire or didn’t put enough beads inside the tires. I’ve found that some really heavy tires require double the suggested weight on the bead manufacturers application chart

 

Never once had had to balance my Wildpeak AT3Ws

 

I love the look of KO2's but after having a set on my 16 and 17, never again, they were a pain in the ass to balance in the first place even with wheel phasing and road force and then would still come unbalanced. Between that and the shitty snow handling / weight, there are better options.

 

If they try to say that, ask for the contact information for their attorneys. Bring up the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.

They are great tires. Listen to the complaints on this forum about the Tacoma, but it is a great truck too. Goodrich has a warranty and if a tire is defective they will be happy to replace it. When I bought my last set of KO2's I asked about the balancing issues I had been reading about. I was told that they (the tire store) sell thousands of them and almost never have issues. If they do, Goodrich stands behind them and will replace. I have 265 75 16's and they roll perfectly at all speeds.

 

Weird I must of just had a bad set on two seperate vehicles from two different suppliers / tire installers in two different states. But what are the odds its not the tire...
