Oh okay. Yea that's not too bad at all. For some reason I was envisioning something a bit more involved. Thanks!

Good to know on the IS300 CC. After spending enough time driving from Tucson to San Diego, I'm realizing I don't so much like the OEM steering wheel and am trying to decide between the IS300 3 spoke or a 4Runner 4 spoke for my 99. Are any of them a direct swap without having to swap resistors or worry about 2/3 wire?

    OK, thanks.

I guess I'll look for 00-04 4 runner wheel going by this post earlier in the thread.

Swapped out a 01 3rd gen 4runner steering wheel in my 02 tacoma. Everything was a direct fit. Horn and cruise control all works as it should. (This was the 3 pin for the cruise control connection)

Biggest difference is between the two is on the tacoma, ground wire connection is on the airbag. On the 4runner that connection is on the steering wheel itself. This is ground for the horn. So on the tacoma horn flaps (whatever they are called) that bend are on the air bag where on the 4runner it’s in the steering wheel.

One of those things I just love about Toyota. There are quite a few parts from other Toyota vehicles that are interchangeable. Someone in the engineering dept. was thinking!

Curious why you did the swap? I did mine because I don't like the 2 spoke wheel that my 99 came with and wanted the 4 spoke. You went 4 spoke to 4 spoke so other than what appears to be a color change, I'm wondering why you did the swap.

I did my swap for appearance reason. I like black interior in cars. Especially the steering wheel. I also swapped out the shift knobs and steering calum cover all from 3rd gen 4 runner and love how it looks now. Excuse my mess in the truck, I’m working on a few things at the moment but here is a picture of how it all ties together now

Jon, that looks awesome! I'm gonna need some details.

What car did you pull the wheel from? How did you deal with the airbag and cruise control? And do all of the buttons work?
