I couldn't help but notice your "Combat Veteran" license plate...

My dad wasn't in the Navy for 25 years and was deployed a few times but never actually saw combat. If we lived in Hawaii, would he just have a license plate that says "Veteran"?

Yes it has an American Flag and says Veteran underneath. Bro these people have your address regardless, you get packages deliveried to you from time to time. Relax a little it’s not the end of the world. Not everyone in the world is out to get.

I just thought cash was the bona fide way to get out of showing ID...

Also, I refuse to show my ID when using a business check while buying stuff for Puck because I don't want my name and address showing up if the check bounces (checks from Puck have bounced before not due to lack of funds but technical difficulties).

Nope. Showing your ID isn’t a big deal. I actually don’t mind when business do it because it gives a little bit of security and accountability. I bet if they typed your name in the ups or fedex computer your address and phone number would pop right up.

The general manager of the local supermarket agrees with me too, and allowed me to use my boss's driver's license number instead of showing my own license!

Wait till you buy a house Charlie and have to have all your bank stuff gone through with a fine tooth comb, signing patriot act paper work and homeland security paper work.

    How about this one...?

This happened in probably 2013 or 2014. As you know, I in a special education program called the Bucks County Intermediate Unit from the time I graduated from high school until a few months after my 21st birthday. One of their facilities was right near my college, and I made arrangements with one of the few staff members from the IU who I actually liked to stop by for a visit (I'd done this before without issue).

To get in, you had to press a button and be buzzed in. I did this, and this kid who was clearly intellectually disabled comes to the door. He is wearing a yellow and orange vest, as if he is supposed to be some sort of security guard, but he was clearly a special ed student.

I gave the first and last name of the person I was there to see and said she was expecting me. I also told him my name. This student asked to see my ID, and I flat out told him no. My reasoning was that he was not a cop, a security guard, or a school employee, and it was none of his damn business where I was from.

As I said, this kid was clearly special needs and had no business acting as security. An argument started between us and a teacher (unfortunately not the one I was there to see) came out to see what was going on and started getting all uppity with me. Finally, the teacher I was there to see appeared and confirmed who I was. The other teacher basically cornered me and started going on about how I was required to show ID to this intellectually challenged kid and I would be kicked off the property if I gave an attitude. I basically ignored her and never had an issue again...

I thought I only needed good credit to buy a house...

One of my favorite quotes is this; "Anyone who gives up freedom for security deserves neither."

That's the biggest load of shit I've heard...

I'm an American citizen! It seems like my government is coming with more and more ways to control the people.

Fun Fact: I consider myself a sovereign citizen when it comes to modifying my truck.

Gonna try this weekend. Shitty weather though. I'll be in the garage dry so I'll try to get it done. I prepped the wire harness a couple of days ago. Just gotta track down the parking brake sensor wire for the video disabled feature. The whole project shouldn't be difficult

You need good credit for lots of things. Good interest rates and good terms on ANYTHING bought on credit...house, vehicle, land, whatever. Helps with the ease of getting loans. Hell...I even get a discount on my homeowner's/auto insurance for having a high credit score.

Work hard to build your credit and keep it spotless. It pays dividends later in life
