    You’d have to be on 1.04R to upgrade to the pre-erom 1.05 and have a dongle.

    Thanks. What I should have asked first....would there even be any benefit to 1.05 vs 1.04A? Heck I might be 1.04R. I installed the tune in early summer of 2018 and haven't looked at it since. June 11th my kit was purchased from OVT.

    You're most likely 04A70 ECU. So currently there is no 1.05 for your ECU.

    Engine braking is one of those innate festres a manual must have. I drove a 18 auto, and it "engine brakes" better than my manual does. Towing, off road and even driving mountain rounds engine braking is amazing to not smoke the brakes. I'd love to be able to come down off the mointains in 3/4th gear never touching has or brake. I just can't do it with this truck, it runs away

    3/4 would be a dream - I've been in 1/2 trying to hold speed down some passes.... You basically just coast, there's really nothing there to slow you down, especially once you get past a 5% grade

    A 15% to 17% percent coasting throttle angle will do that.

    A neat way to feel it on something with a cable throttle and EFI is shut off the ignition and push on the throttle. Engine braking goes away.

    It's also fun to do on carbureted stuff for other reasons. . . :boom:

    I still remember the day that the project engineer had me read the PennDoT 408 Spec on the concrete topic when I was doing a summer intern stint. I had about seven or so bookmarks and fingers in there, flipping back and forth. I might have called it cement instead of concrete a day or so before. :D
