There's a great Colombian place, Barroca, there that I liked. Even had a grafitti portrait of Pablo Escobar in the bathroom!

Well looks like I’ll be off the bike for a while, I ordered new pedals due to mine being worn and slick, rather than wait one more day for them to come in I decided to ride a new spot yesterday anyway... about a mile in I came off a 3’ shelf and my foot slipped off the pedal, and I nailed the ground with a straight leg. Exploded the top of my tibia, it’s in several pieces. Will be in surgery early next week... ride safe guys and use your best judgment, I did not.

Chromags are dope man. Everyone out here has been getting them lately. You can ride them anywhere and they're rowdy as hell. They keep value really well too.

Initially last year I was going to keep my 160mm Mach 6 and just add a Chromag to the shuffle. But I'm too picky when it comes to parts so I was going to drop $1000+ on a hardtail which is crazy. in the end I sold my mach 6 and ride a 120mm Evil Following. One day when I'm rich I'll have all the bikes

LOL, my dad got all on my case when I went to Pisgah, rode a HTLT, and I was like "I mean...I don't have a 29er, and I really liked that one..."

    They just don't understand, man!

Townie -> Fattie Cargo bike like @machspeed
Hardtail -> Chromag or Karate Monkey w/ Fox fork
    ST Trail - Smuggler?
Enduro - Check! Bronson 160 - want to upgrade to an Wreckoning or a Hope HB160
DH / FR - check! DeVinci Wilson 26er
    Fat - Check! Spec. Fatboy

Oddity bike - BTR Pinner and maybe an exotic Ti framed S7 or something.

Low key great aggressive hardtail is the Kona Honzo, too. Frames are built really well and they are spec'd better than most
My best friend has a Smuggler. It's a sweet bike.

I don't see the appeal of fat tires yet. I've never enjoyed riding them

I honestly enjoy riding my fat bike more in the summer than the winter. Those tires take a bit to get moving, but they don't stop once they do! Fun as hell to just bulldoze over shit as you mob the trail. Found out the hard way that weak AF Tektro cable brakes don't have the balls to stop that much meat though. Rocking the Zee's now and they are a major improvement.

Anything other than groomed track in the winter is miserable. I remember riding a trail in 4 inches of fresh and I though about hanging myself with my derailleur cable after about 20 minutes.

My fatbike tires are 9 pounds of rotating mass. You gotta have some good grabbers just to really have any decent braking effect when you are hauling the mail.
