I run that as well. 887s with soft ride OME shocks and the heavy Dakar pack. You do not have to have after market UCAs, only if you want a proper caster. Camber alignment won't be an issue with the factory UCAs.... With 887s and heavy Dakars you will have quite a bit of rake when unloaded and will need to adjust your headlights.

How bad was your rake w/o any load on the rear?

With standard Dakar’s I ended up with .5 inches of rake.

Also my alignment was perfect with this kit without UCA’s. No vibes and drives amazing after 6 months now.

These are about as flat as the earth is round

Well it’s only 1.75-2inches of lift. Camber and toe are good. A UCA isn’t going to change your camber or toe. Caster is the only thing an adjustable UCA is going to change.

FWIW I ran LR UCA’s on my 08 for 10 years. They didn’t help me much. Spend the money if you want it’s up to you. Id just wait till the stock ones go to shit and buy something new then. The stock ones are worthless once you take them off. I wouldn’t even stress pre mature tire wear. After 45k any MT or AT has lost its joy at that point and should be replaced anyway.

By standard Dakar are you talking about the light duty (5-leaf pack), medium (6-leaf pack), or Heavy Duty (7-leaf pack)? I ran both the HD (7-leaf) for a bit then took out the 3rd leaf from the top to make it the medium pack. with that weight in the rear I would run the HD (7-leaf). Right now with only 50 er so lbs in my bed the Medium pack is great. Solid 2" in rear with exactly 1" of rake with aftermarket coilovers in the front set at 1.75" of lift

6 leaf pack Dakar’s made my rear end .5-.75 higher than the front.

I have 887/90021 and medium Dakars (that I added an OME leaf to in the back—so basically HDs.) The ride isn't too much stiffer than stock, but drives much better, less body-roll and what feels like under-dampened rebound from the stock Billys. I'm about 3" in the rear and 2ish in the front, running 265/75r16.

Hard to tell in this pic since my driveway is at an angle, but I have something similar to factory rake. Also running SPC UCAs.

What rim and tire are you running? Did you go 90021 or 90000 shocks?

The ride feels pretty much the same as stock but a little stiffer, better over bumps though. I kept the stock ucas and got it aligned with no problems. I love the lift so far. Thanks for the compliment!

Great. Have heard the deaver rides harsh but maybe that’s with the 5100’s. What size tires are u running if you don’t mind.
