What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Threw my steel wheels on the auto repair shops scrap pile. Lug nuts too. I live in a apartment and I darn sure was not going to haul them around in my truck bed. Or bother listing them on ebay. Tires went back on the truck.

My $45 eBay recovery boards came just in time for tomorrow first "predicted" snow storm.

 

Not what iv done but what it's done to me.

Scared the shit out of me. Was driving down the highway 75 ish 80 not breaking any speed records. Heard a loud ass noise so naturally I pulled over to the shoulder to see what's up. Turns out the plastic thing that goes over the groove for a roof rack came undone and I guess slapped the top of roof. About 2/3 of it came up so lucky it didnt fall off. Now to fix it :l

 

I'm really surprised they have not sold yet. Saw them 3 days ago. I gave $469 + $100 shipping for mine.

I see you still don't have a tonneau cover yet. Buddy dropped his 6' OEM tonneau down to $275 and still has it. Guess it is just the part of the country we live in.

 

Added Some Important Patches:

 

Today I gave it a much needed bath. Not today, but over the last week, I added my TAC Predator bull bar and Xprite light bar. I have an extension cable that shows it was delivered today, so I should have the light bar working by the end of the weekend.

 

Just installed mine this morning!

 

Today I gave up the hopes and dreams of mounting a Rooftop Tent on my bed rack. Picked up a Military Mobiflex Tent. I know it looks like a big bag of shit, but once the weather clears out, I’ll get it set up to see what we are working with.




For the most part this is what we got going on without the rain fly on.

I know zip about tents. That might be the best tent out there, is just looks... different.

(My idea of roughing it is a Holiday Inn.)

 

Use the wheel and tire marketplace thread on here. You might have better luck not dealing with complete randos off CL. Someone will want them!

 

Wired some additional backup lights (aka shove off tailgators)

 

I added the SOS Offroad Concepts Recovery replacement. I liked the Bullet Proof Fab unit a little better, but the SOS cleared the TRD skid plate better. Not much to it. Thick bent steel, with a large slightly oblong hole for a hard or soft shackle.

 

Needed new floor liners because Toyota changed the passenger side and added the twist locks.
The Weather-techs were delivered this afternoon.

 

My week off work and week of mods has come to an end. Got almost everything done I set out to do except derp my bumper/exhaust/front grill. Ill do that when it gets a little warmer maybe. Anyways. This week total mods done:
5100 Bilstein level
Gibson exchaust (need to derp the tip)
Blackvue front and rear camera
Tyger Cover
Fixed heated seat buttons (they are sideways for now, clips are in the way.... fail)
Armrest divider for storage
And like 15 more little things like fire extinguisher, med kit, other little storage goodies etc etc. Most of everything was all done yesterday. Heres a few pics of the things I said. I got an exhaust clip if anyone interested. Just would need to figure out how to upload it here.

 

Hope you enjoy the Gibson exhaust as much as I do. Had mine roughly 18 months and the sound is great. As far as a clip you need to upload it to youtube and then post the address here to link it.
