I guess if you just want a cb then the others will probably work fine but people try to use them for something unentended

Yeah that's probably what most of the complaints are from. That or they tried to use the antenna it came with and it worked like sheet.

Yes I have. Was it a rotational sounding squeaking type noise (that sped up as you accelerated until you couldn't hear it anymore)?

    If so, U-Joints

So in other words.. Did it start out slow click, click, click, and then as you sped up, click clickclickclick much quicker?

I've also had them cause a very very nasty popping noise under hard acceleration, or acceleration going up steep hills

Yep, that sir is the ujoints. The needle bearings in them must be dry. Since you have a 4wd, I would start by greasing them all up good (until grease comes out all four pieces of the spider/ujoint). If that doesn't solve the squeak, then its time for replacements. Spicer makes very nice greasable units for our trucks. Here's the ones it takes. They're good for both 4wd and prerunner, I put them in my 2wd because mine came with sealed ujoints.

No it didn't sound like a squaking noise I was thinking maybe a caliper?

If you are the least bit apprehensive about changing them yourself, I would be more than happy if it comes to that. Hopefully a little grease will get them back to being happy again

Hmm... any way you'd be able to get a video of the noise?

If it only happens at low speeds, and it goes away after your above 10-15mph, Im still leaning towards ujoints. You gonna be at the run tomorrow? I can try to help you diagnose it before we get rolling if you want

Ahhh shit. That's right.. Darnn.. can you try to describe the clicking a little more? Is it metallic sounding? and under only hard acceleration or moderate or light as well?
