LOL, I know the feeling. First rain of the year 2 seasons ago happened an hour before my super D race run. Goggles were gunked up 3 pedals in and was the slickest, scariest ride I've had in my life...on a course I got to ride ONCE EVER before the rain. Still came in 4th (out of more than 4)

    It was 5, and he DNF'd :D

That’s how I felt riding “ride don’t slide” in Whistler. It was super wet, slick, fast and terrifying but was one of the most fun trails I’ve ever ridden. It wasn't a race but with how wet the roots and rocks were I was thinking “just make it down”. I may head back up there this summer. Hopefully I can tackle it in the dry and really have a blast.

I went back 2 weeks later and did the course in the dry. No big deal. Funny how dry vs slick makes stuff so much harder. Esp mandatory wood features.

You ever ride Keystone Bikepark in Colorado? A little greasyness makes the sketch about 10x more intense hahaha. I hate wet wooden features, there is no changing your line once you commit. Keystone may also be THE rockiest place I have ever ridden a bike. Insane when you watch an EWS race on that mountain and see the speeds they’re going.

All the Colorado parks are on my list. As is Angelfire. They all looks sweet!

Pisgah was pretty rocky. Really got my attention coming from relatively buffed northern Utah.

I may hit Pisgah this spring. Trestle in Colorado is a blast too if you make it out there, well worth it. Super long runs from the top to the bottom. I hear you on the trails in Utah. I have a couple buddies in SLC and when I went to visit them I was in heaven. (Minus Puke Hill on the way up the crest trail)..... That sucked big time lol

LOL, I have cleaned Puke Hill once out of my many attempts. That thing eats people every day.

Trestle and Evolution are my top 2 parks to hit.

In my case those two numbers are swapped so I guess that’s my excuse for being really slow... though I’ve ridden with some 70+ year old guys who leave me behind up and downhill. One of them always rides his fat bike, so that when he gets on his XC hardtail it feels really fast.

For Fears Tears and Beers, the guy leading the 50+ age group was the mayor. Rode his FOES Fat DH bike along the entire 5K elevation gain enduro circuit for the day, then went and did an EXTRA 1500K lap at the end. Was at the banquet hanging out with us afterwards like nothing happened. Complete mad man!

How much does a Norweld setup like you have it run? I want to know, but don’t want to know all at the same time. So sick.

Lol! Well my truck is one of the MLO company rigs so it’s got a lot of goodies on it. What’s cool is you can always just start with the tray first and do the canopy later on.

RPR is solid. I did the enduro championships a couple months back and got my ass handed to me, but I pushed hard and went down a few times. I’m less than an hour from there, pace bend and pedernales. All great places.
