    Just for clarity... No one has a sig p238 I could borrow a couple days to build a holster for like $10 of a holster build for them or an "ill owe ya one" kinda deal

    I took a different approach than most and it only cost about $100. Its more adjustable as well. I used a wheelers flip kit and mounted Silverado rear bumps on the frame. Works like a charm and gives me the adjust-ability to not bottom out my 11" rear shocks (not seen in this picture).

    I added some 2 degree axle shims, it improved it quite a bit. Going to shim the carrier bearing an 1/8 inch most likely and see where that gets me. I’m currently experiencing a small amount of vibes still but not to the extreme I was in the past. Driving it doesn’t make me uncomfortable anymore.

    I was going to do that but I’m going to be regearing down the road. From what I’ve read, a re gear will spin the drive shaft faster than what it is rated for and will cause even more vibrations.

    I’m using my factory rear bumps, I bought the wheelers and felt like I was losing up travel. Put the factory back. Drilled and tapped the top plate to mount them.

    Yeah I have... Its almost always just 1 Andi would need to make 2 holsters to make $0 with that... I'm just not that big yet

    If I ever get big enough for like a business license my tax lady said they would be tax deductible...

    I have the same setup as @BamaTaco56 and I am happy. Drilling the hole for the bump was a little bit of a pain but that’s it. Cheap too.

    I will later, for my own education on the subject. I'm still trying to understand, if engine RPM and xmsn gearing is the same, how would d/s speed change from the source of power. :notsure:

    I'm NOT and engineer, nor did i stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. I'm just a dumb pilot... :plane:

    To maintain 70 mph, with 3.73, your output rpm of the DS will be roughly 2500.

    With 4.56 gearing, output rpm of the DS is roughly 2800 in my case at 70mph.

    So driveshaft speed has to basically speed up in order to compensate for the higher gear ratio to maintain your speed.

    Play around with a critical driveshaft speed calculator and you’ll see what I’m talking about. Once it hits that speed, the driveshaft begins to essentially turn in to a steel jump rope and vibrate like hell even if it’s perfectly balanced.

    Yes. The wheel speed is what stays the same. Everything up stream of that has to spin faster.

    Just wondering what kind of remote start you have? is it aftermarket? I let my truck warm for about 2-5 minutes on mornings when below 40. I have to use the extra key to lock the door b/c I'm paranoid about people thinking they would like my truck for themselves.

    A drive shaft shouldn’t care about ground speed/wheel speed, just rpm and tq, unless I’m mistaken. Shouldn't you just have to drive 80, to achieve 70? The truck will do 110 without an issue.

    I’ll read more into it later tonight, plus I have a LB, so a straight shaft might not work for me anyway, due to the diameter required for the overall weight.
