for the most part

loooots of deezhuhl bros blow up 6.0s because they throw a hot tune on an unmaintained truck with stock head gaskets and blow up the egr cooler and head gaskets and then say the truck is a POS

 

But that's retards not people with intelligence of the mechanical nature.

 

doing radiator hoses on a dodge intrepid... only to find out the reason it was leaking was because the inlet is cracked under the damn hose FFS

Also new engine mount time, old ones were only slightly collapsed

One on the right is a new one. Old ones were hydraulic and seem to have lost their hydro fluid.

Also how did I do anything before owning an engine crane?

I don't like doing angled engine mounts, the shit always ends up snagging. Little fore and aft control got em lined up though.

 

just be grateful your not working on an intrepid.

 

Looks like something that one kid would do, why buy the real thing when you can make something that looks the same for cheaper.

ive put engines in these turds.. its not fun... and the damn timing belts just break early anyway so your stuck doing it again.

2 of the 3 ive done were dodge factory belts that snaped at 20-30k miles

 

I'm not about that life, either there's too much valve soring pressure, there's a bad tensioner design or the belts are too thin. If you ask me it needed a chain

 

its a flawed design. its like the mitsubishi belts. the edges wear away till it gets to thin and snaps.

 

is it possible for a timing belt (toyota belt) replaced in August 2015 and 21k miles ago needing to be replaced? Having that elusive intermittent starting issue where the damn engine cranks and starts but immediately dies or it will crank, start and die out with a rough idle. Trying to feather the pedal will just choke it out and it will die kinda like a misfire. If I wait a minute or so then try to crank it again, it will start up without an issue.

Plug wires are going to be changed as well as plugs but after that, not sure what else other than maybe a good throttle body cleaning.
