    I figured it out.

I raced a triathlon at Winnipesaukee a bunch of years ago. Beautiful, crystal clear, COLD lake.

There’s a scheduled Regional KBF Bass Tounament in August. I might fish that tourney, just to revisit the lake.

Max - what species do you fish for? If it’s smallies and bucketmouths, then I’m gonna pick your brain for this tournament.

Now that you’re insulated, how does that compare to last year during cold times?

Tough to say, will take the whole season, and comparing usage against degree days...
However, i used 60 gals less last month, than dec 17. I bought 350 gallons last January, so, this month will be the real check.
But, i have an online portal with my supplier, and of course, I have been saving my invoices.

Another factor, this was only the main roof. When I get the lower roof(over mud room, half bath, and laundry) done, and windows finished being replaced, etc. With the wind, I can feel the loss.

    I will win... eventually....

Based on your posts, for you, I'm going to say that winning is when you move to a place where you can open a window on a January day to warm the house up!

Well, big picture, and long term... of course.....but, for now, i am stuck in my situtation.

But, in this case I was referring to making the house much more efficient to run, and not HAVE to use my free time working on it.l

Yeah, I can get onboard with that. I absolutley LOVE it when it snows, and right after. Stuff like this..

Nah, I can take it....even I will admit, sometimes it seems like every other thing I say is about going home, being trapped here makes it worse.
    Yall are cool...

Could you close off certain rooms on frigid days with newer windows and gauge temps tbat way?

I would love to gut my house with the plaster walls and spray foam insulation throughout.
But before I do that I would probably put a large shed dormer and a second bath upstairs. I have a 1950’s cape

We switched to a new gym (box) this week after 4+ years at our old one. New gym typically programs 2-3x the volume the old one did. Can't recall a time when I was this wrecked. Such sore, many gains, much butt stuff. And I've switched up my schedule so I'm at the gym at for the 5am class, then shower there and in Burlington by 7, which beats sitting in 1.5 -2 hrs hrs of traffic and not getting in until 9am like previously.

Went to 7am this morning and did:
    30 rounds-
    5 wall ball
    3 handstand push-ups
    1 power clean@185#.
Now I'm destroyed and ready for the rest of the day. Hanging with the giblets while the wife is at the gym.

Morning all. -1 at the house this morning, -22 with the windchill. Was 68 inside when I got up, though. Can't beat wood heat :D

Edit- I'm burning a lot of wood so far this year, though. Need to get some snow around/on the house for insulation.

I forget what it’s like to workout ️‍♀️.
I have weight in basement and a treadmill.
Guess I’m always looking for excuses.

Gotta make time for you. If I had equipment at home I'd never use it, I need to be motivated by others/ coaches.

Started doing a intro to powerlifting/strongman class and it is nice having the team mentality with everyone pushing each other but thats twice a week and I would be pumped to have a small home setup the other days of the week.

I like the home gym we've built up, easy and convenient but definitely have to stay on top of it or it's easy to fall off. Downsides though are not having access to all the equipment I'd like to have.

Really all you need is a squat rack, bar and some weights, maybe a few kettlebells or dumbbells, and a flat bench. Don't really need any silly equipment.
