My truck was brand new off the delivery truck, never been washed, and it needed paint correction - That’s way to cheap in my opinion to do paint correction and coating. This is a picture of my truck from today, it was very dusty but proper preparation will lead to good shine - and make your paint as flawless as possible before applying the Coating . I have Gyeon Dura Flex

I’m always skeptical about this kind of stuff. Then a friend did his car about four years ago and I did my 2016 myself two and a half years ago with Opti Coat. Occasionally used a quick spray wax or a clay bar to clean the hood and make it fresh again. Then around Christmas I had some time so I clayed, polished, and redid all the Opti Coat. Love how clean it keeps it. I’m sure some products are better than others and I can’t say which ones since I’ve only experienced one of them. But I will say I’m not going back to wax.

damn! that is a deal and a half! nice job. it has been a while since I had to do paint correction on a black vehicle. I need to hone my skills again. some people hate detailing, hence the reason they get ceramic coat. I find it almost therapeutic. I know, weird huh...lol

    Why not?

Also I bet almost all of our trucks have gone through an automatic car wash at least once when the dealer PDR'd them.

never heard of this, but just read their website. sorry, but I was a professional detailer for many years, I DO NOT believe their claims at all. if you like it and are happy with it, that is all that matters.

    Lotsa shit.
dude, what is the worst that can happen? sign something that states there is a guaranteed warranty written down and absolutely nothing can happen. just do it, screw what these other guys think that are telling you that you're an idiot for wanting to do it.

definitely keep us posted as to the longevity. I would be interested to see just how long it will last. if it works, it works.

I don't think anybody called him an idiot? it is his truck, if he wants to do it, that is his choice. he asked for opinions/thoughts on having it done and the price.

but your second sentence isn't entirely true. if he has it done, and gets a written warranty then he is covered somewhat. read the fine print on the warranty, I am going to bet it says they will only warranty the coating, not his paint should something happen. also, small shops pop up all the time for this sort of thing. they stay open a while then they can't keep the lights on and go out of business. then his warranty is null and void. do I think something would happen to his paint? no. do I think the price they gave him of $300 is good? yes, probably too good to be true. I don't care how new, or how few miles are on a vehicle. if it has been outside, shipped and driven, it NEEDS paint correction. that is simply a fact, not an opinion.

The guy does use Ceramic Pro, found that much out so far. I will probably go by his shop and talk to him one day next week. He seems to run a one stop shop, does mobile detailing, waxing, window tint, vinyl wrap. As for a warranty I’m not to worried about that myself. Still not made up my mind as I’m still wanting a SSO bumper/winch and some BFG’s along with several other things. Nothing is cheap in the mod business and I thought Photography was expensive lol. I’m going to have to pick one hobby or the other.

so he at least uses a decent coating. I haven't used that brand personally, but I know some guys who have with good results. that said, I would make sure his quote of $300 does cover paint correction. even with as few a miles as you have your truck needs paint correction before installation of the coating. maybe not much, but it does need it. let us know what happens.

yeah, mods of any kind aren't cheap. and hobbies get hella expensive. I have had my share and spent more than my share to last a lifetime. I used to drag race, so...not a cheap hobby by no means.
