My ex-2nd gen averaged 17.1L/100km in 2017 and 16.8L/100km in 2018, and this is accounting for the 32" Duratrac's rolling diameter increase (actual kms driven is 3.5% more than odometer reading). My average commute speed is 33 km/h, because Toronto...

I have nokian hakkas too, I’ve got a little weight on the rear tires. Probably around 80lb on each tire maybe, I just filled some bags with broke concrete to weigh my back down. I’m getting that average doing city driving, I know gas is cheap right now at 86 cents but it’s a lot for a student

I ended up getting denied again for the frame replacement, I had it inspected this week and they said the holes that I have don’t qualify. They are on spot welds and mounts. The bumper mount is completely shot and can easily be poked through, my bumper is in very rusty shape but saveable if I restore it this summer. I’m not sure where I could get the bumper mounts though, I’ll have to check a scrap yard but last time I checked there are no parts Tacoma’s in my city

They told me next time I want an inspection for frame it would cost $100 if it doesn’t qualify

Drop the weight, you have no snow. You have hakkas, you have no need for weight. I'm all Hwy miles

I had no weight for a while but we got some snow this week and I was spinning out on uncleared roads, it was very hard to get traction in the back. I was going low speeds and spinning, since I put the weight in I’ve had no problems and it feels like I have good traction again. I could lower it to 25lb per tire and see if that still gives me good traction

    I’ve got Nokian R2s

Does the mechanic do just a visual inspection or does he tap the rusted areas with a hammer?

Yeah there needs to be a hole on the frame, not on the weld, 10mm or larger for it to qualify.
