Why are you sending them off to Meso? Just curious.

While true, I think these lights are already pretty darn cool.

 

I'd consider him an "influencer" so a good candidate to not only beta test them before full production but also he'd not leave them stock, which likely may help sales further.

 

I originally asked them for just the internal parts(triple light bezels) so I can mess around with some concepts and designs. But TRS offered the entire housing(even better) to purchase so I said why not. Although they are great lights, I feel some things can be “improved” internally

 

Do you think the improvements you are looking into might be something that you will offer on a larger scale down the road or are you thinking more one off sets here and there like you have done for taillights?

 

I dunno yet. Probably. It would be a full headlight, but DIY parts for the average retrofitter.

4Runners are in design / tooling phase. ETA probably August.

 

So I have been following this since day one. I am more than likely going to place an order. I just wanted to ask if I should probably wait, just incase you later make the light different or better because of what MESO may do with the lights. I’m just asking because it is a pretty large purchase and I don’t want to feel like I jumped the gun, if you release an improved version shortly after.

I highly doubt they are going to revise it further(but who knows) as the tooling is already done. I’m going to do modifications that are more in line with retrofitters; different paint, side markers, dragon eyes, etc. just my own little twist on some already nice lights.

 

I wonder what you'll do with your current lights...

These are good looking lights with the tri's. If only the DRL refractor could be tinted, toned down a little or just a solid diffuser.

With the light on it looks ok but when it's off it just doesn't look right to me. Looking forward to seeing completed.

 

I agree. Look forward to what he has in mind. Reminds me of the raptor light wrap on the first taillights. They looked amazing with the light on but when the light was off that white surrounding really stood out.
