Careful with 55W HID bulbs. You end up getting 50W ballasts mated with 35W bulbs. This means that you end up overdriving the 35W bulbs which means that they will burn hotter, burn out prematurely, and will cause more glare due to the bigger arc.

It's not the housings that have a problem. In fact the 55w hid probably still make less heat than the factory halogens. The issue is the bowl of the projector gets scorched from the extra UV of the higher powered hid kits and then reflects less at that point. Then you have issues.

If it makes your decision any easier - we only carry 35W HID Kits for basically the same reasons that other people have already stated. A 35W HID is going to be a pretty big upgrade over a stock halogen bulb, especially when you have a projector lens to properly focus and direct that light. I think you'll be pretty happy with the results.

I just ordered the XenonDepot HID Kit with the Phillips 4300k bulbs. By the pics there the Phillips 4300k bulbs look a little on the yellow side. I hope I didn't make a mistake with these. On my 02 Tacoma I ran 6500k bulbs in my Morimoto D2S Projectors and those were to blue.

I run the Philips bulbs and don't notice any yellow in them. They are basically the same color as any OEM HID bulb you'd see on the road.

Same here. Have Xenon HIDs in my 2017 Tacoma and wife’s 2017 Highlander. Zero issues so far!

With switching over to HID’s is headlight realignment necessary?

I received the 5k and it does not look like that photo at all. Mine is white and blue. That photo definitely looks yellow.

I feel like mine look like Brand B example
