Could be, but I don't think it's the windshield itself but instead the cowl. The windshield trim is old and faded so I'll end up getting a new one one day.

 

its probably the cowl area leaking. theres a TSB for it on the 01s i think

people do it in racing to keep the air intake temp cooler.. but on a daily.. this is pointless for you to do..

Gets hot out there that time of year ya? I'll still wheel in the heat but man is it my least favorite time of the year to do it lol

 

Yeah it’s a bummer. Half my buddies sold their rigs, the other 49% of them still have them but don’t wheel.

Now there’s just like 1% that still come out to play. And they’re busy tomorrow or I haven’t heard back from them.

Oh well I haven’t wheeled for a while so I’ll go see what’s what

 

Stupid question #2 what does this small black wire terminal bolt to?

 

I’m guessing that’s the negative harness? Could be for the body ground.

If that’s positive it’s for the fuse box or starter.

 

Most of the guys I used to wheel with regularly from this forum all upgraded to 35s+ and dual lockers and do extreme rated trails a few times a year...then spend the rest of the year fixing their trucks from the damage lol. I'm not at that point in my game yet and won't be for some time. And don't know very many local guys that like to hit moderate - moderately difficult trails on a regular basis like I do. So I usually just bring my wife or a friend to ride shotgun and hit the trails solo. Sometimes meet cool people along the way.
