Do the cement color matched. We will be like sports but cooler because we have black fender trim.

I feel your pain. @eCOOL1 can attest I’ve been extremely indecisive between Quicksand color match and TPO. I even ordered both! Ultimately, my decision is to stick with color match.

Went round and round myself, color matched all the way! The all black just kind of sticks out too much on anything but MGM or black.

QUICKSAND GUYS. I'm still waiting on the parts!!! I've been calling and texting the painter like crazy to try and get them from him. I'm trying to get him to come in tomorrow so I can get the parts out over the weekend, but I will let you know how that goes. Thanks again especially for your patience since I keep giving you dates then having to keep shifting them back. Just contact me directly if you have any concerns.

Is this bad lighting or is the color off? It looks darker or maybe a little bluish tint. I haven’t been able to compare mine in daylight yet but will have to prior to installing.

Does anyone else have cement installed with a pic?

The colors a little off. Here’s a picture in the daylight I took today. A little blueish tint to it. Im interested in what other cement caps are looking like. Did I just get a dud, or are they all off a little?

Same here. Obviously I couldn’t wait to open them and see how perdy they were. In my living room they looked like they will match. So I checked out the cements again just to calm my anticipation. Seen the miss match and am doing all I can to wait for daylight.

When painting colors like that it is almost impossible to get a 100% color match . This is why they blend when doing repairs. Its a tough thing. All they can go by is the paint code. All mixing machines and paint manufacturers will also have slight shade differences. It helps to have the actual truck to try and match. If you take 2 exact trucks built the same week same color and swap hoods there is a strong chance they will be off a touch. @eCOOL1 you might want to consider putting a disclaimer on your website saying that there could be slight shade differences on certain colors and its just the nature of paint. Nobody's fault just the nature of the beast.

Agreed. This is a common occurrence. I visited a body shop inquiring about getting my chrome bumper caps painted Quicksand and there was a display at the check-in counter with information explaining why painted bumpers appear a different color that other body panels. I’ve seen slight color differences on Toyota vehicles from the factory.

This is a close-up photo taken on a dealership lot. I noticed a slight color difference in the tailgate and bumper cap.

Isn’t that the point of the code?
My gen2 had the flairs and bumper replaced due to fading 8 years after being new, matched perfectly. Ordered a snugtop a year after owning it, paint matched perfectly. Every factory paint pen I’ve gotten seems to match perfectly. There is a difference in slight shade differences (such as the quicksand pic) and the cement pics. Those are an all together different color. I’m sure the pros (maybe you are?) know you might be right but there shouldn’t be more then a slide shade difference. All the other caps seem to match quite well, just not the cement ones I referenced. Seems like possibly a bad mix to me on this run of cement. I’ll know in a couple more hours.

Even my quasi-cheap home wall paint matches every time I get a new batch mixed up.

After seeing photos. I think I’m going with TPO. Realistically, it looks better with the OR. Black fenders, black front valance “thingy” so why not black bumper all the way. Also, there’s no color matching needed for black plastic, lol.

I thought I was done pouring money into this truck.

    TPO on the way.
